I think you made the right call on the curtains. They weren't expensive when new, actually, pretty inexpensive in fact. And $10 per panel was ridiculous.
I'm sure she does with Laurel & all. But I did feel my own hands when she said hers were Sticky, LoL. I think its that sticky tacky feeling items get from sitting in the kitchen too long and not getting washed. Like how the filter on the kitchen exhaust gets when it needs to be washed. 🤢🤣😅😂🤭
I have several of those Italian inlaid music boxes that I purchased when I lived in German. I noticed that sometimes you lift them by their lid, or move them around by the lid, and wanted to let you know that the screws that fasten the lid hinges are really small and short and with enough jostling/gravity on them, they will pull out. I had given my Mom one and she kept stuffing paper in stuff in it and I kept removing the paper and warning her she would ruin it. One of her screws in back did come out and the lock broke as well due to her stuffing things in there (everything but jewelry 🙄) and pushing the lid down.
Sitting watching your videos saying buy it! Buy it! A great bed warmer. Probably copper underneath the paint. You need to dip your toes in the primitive waters.

How do you not break or chip stuff? I’m so careful with my glass stuff and somehow I will chip them, and I see how you just pull stuff out of boxes and lay stuff on top of each other!!!!
That was a foot warmer. Fill with hot water, People in England find them all the time and they are super old. I don't know about that one, sure that is what that is. It heats the foot of the bed up before getting in.
The painted "stashed" oval thing is probably a vintage-antique foot warmer. Lid comes off, hot water goes in and it goes at the foot of your bed, under the covers! I loved the curtains!!
Yes the two Pyrex had lids. I got married in 1975 and got some like that. My daughter talked me out of them. She knows what is good. She remembers me making scalloped potatoes and baked beans in them. Funny how dishes bring back memories of days gone by.
There are a few pieces like that which remind me of meals at home and at my grandmother’s. If I saw them I’d be willing to pay up just for the nostalgia.
The German/American piece was likely given to someone as a farewell gift. My Dad was in the Army for 36 years and he and my Mom have a collection of different things that were given to them at their “hail and farewell “.

Jocelyn, look at how Kat lists linens. She doesn’t always do full layouts. She snaps pics of folded items and provides measurements. I was obsessive about doing layouts of linens and I had built up a bit of a hoard. But I learned that if I disclose and photo flaws with a measure, I don’t have to do layouts. Folded pics suffice. And people buy.
That platter green/white with blue pumpkins brought me right back to my youth! My mom had dishes with that same pattern. I’m just about 66 so I think it is at least 50 years ago?😳
9:47 is what we call "Bettpfanne" (bed pan). You fill hot water in it and put in into your bed. Very comfortable for use during cold winter nights. This piece is more some kind of souvenir item. Greets from GER, U.
I've boughten 2 sets of Correll dinner plates from a church rummage sale almost 30 years ago. Then yesterday, I hit a jackpot of more Correll dinner plates. They are mostly new designs; only a couple of them were actually vintage designs. I do not have any vintage Pyrex casserole dishes yet. I hope to find a few affordable ones in the wild someday. I do have 3 sets of Costco clear Pyrex mixing bowls; which is nothing vintage. I have always enjoyed all of your Goodwill shopping videos and videos of your kiddos/Andrew and You together ❤!!!
I did stash 2 cut to clear bowls at GW; moved to the back of their shelf late Monday night. I went back 1st thing Tuesday am (25% off senior dayl) and bought them! 😬 7.99 - 25% sold for the big one for $150 😁

The clay horse and rider belonged with the clay smoking guy you picked up first at 1:34. The horse would have had a leather or rope bit in its mouth and the smoker figure would have been leading it.
I don’t know but I am glad you put the curtains back. I feel like most people in these times may decorate vintage or eclectic antique would do solid colors. My windows at the moment have shears my mom had that has a built in embroidery all white. I may just do a top piece to cover the rods. Maybe I am picky but I would not want to be stuck with something I would never use myself.

The clear stoppered bottle is Avon....1980's. Came with 2 matching green cordial glasses and green tray. Yep,have the set in the back of a cupboard lol

1:34 this is a piece from Mestre Luiz Galdino. Folk art from northeast Brazil... State of Pernambuco. Amazing how far this thing went... This is a figurine that problably had a shovel or some other working instrument in his hand.

Wyland is a good artist. Their paintings & sculptures go for big bucks. You should do pretty well with the cookie jar.

Use it all the time. It's a great cleaner. I get them at the dollar store and just put a bunch in. Cleans well.
