The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions & flea markets ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, and on Facebook Marketplace, which fully supports me.

Saving the planet one item at a time. Resellers doing global work while making an honest living. I don't resell, but at least 80 percent of my professional wardrobe comes from thrift stores. It started in the 90s when I found a designer dress in a local Goodwill. I have been hooked ever since.
I started out in 1980 when I walked into a Goodwill and found a pair of Levi's, my size, for 50 cents. Been doing it ever since and I'm 67. I also consigned, at 3 stores, what I found. I was Ebay before Ebay.

You know what I especially like about Karen, is that she is independent and she makes great content every time. She doesn't rely on having other resellers appear in her videos, or misleading headlines to draw people in. I literally blocked all the resellers who do the "shop with us, here we are in PA, IL, OH, FL" shopping together. Nobody cares about them getting together, but themselves....and from past experience, I've heard private stories time and again about some of them being mean to each other. I really just enjoy every video from Karen with and without her teammate/husband, and we get to see honest testimony showing the best way to do it with smart points and well-organized video. She's the Queen everyone else aspires to be!
Karen is good and I love watching her videos. I DO watch some other videos from other resellers such a Commonwealth Picker, REASON: he picks up a larger variety of items than Karen and is quick to explain what to look for and what to stay away from. The Click Bait headlines don't impress me but I do like to learn about variety. My favorite thing about Karen is her demeanor, she doesn't go in with a frenzy that many of them do and is very thoughtful all throughout her shopping. She is a class act for sure!!! And Roger is just like her only with that cute little ornery grin ... I just love him!!!! I wish he would share more, he seems brilliant!!!
I whole heartedly agree with you. In addition, Karen is always respectful of people she meets and all the items she handles. Whether she is at retail establishment or a garage sale or at Goodwill, she always handles items with care, places them back where she found them, and I've seen her track down a missing mate to a cup and saucer or pair of salt/pepper shakers, and many other items that she doesn't even want to purchase! I love that about her and I've stopped watching those who I have named "trash thrifters" who throw nicely folded items all over the place and literally pile china they do not want in ways that I know for sure won't make it even 10 more seconds no less the remainder of the day. It's awful behavior and it makes me wonder how they handle the items they do purchase to resell. I know I won't buy from them for sure. But, knowing how Karen organizes and cares for her products, I will buy from Karen in a heartbeat.

Just wanted to say how much I love your channel. Why I only discovered you few months before you married Roger, I don’t know, but so glad I did! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said “ now I’m just making things up”. Through my life. 😅

Bruce Makowsky is quite an entrepeneur. His wife, Kathy Van Zeeland, also designed luxury handbags with a lot of bling and signature fabric, really popular in the 2000s. Makowsky handbags were actually sold on QVC at some point. He used a lot of fringe and grommets. Beautiful soft leather. I sold mine as it became too heavy to carry.

Karen, At the first stop, I was really surprised you didn't say anything or pick up the Free Scrabble item 'Home Family Love'. I thought that item would jump right out at you. You know you are the Scrabble Bride.
I really liked the N. Zinc (sp?) painting. I personally didn’t mind the trees at all. You definitely have a better eye than I do, though. I never would have noticed anything even slightly off. That’s why I watch you, I’m always learning new things. I also really love the $2 pottery bowls you got at the first store. As always, thanks for sharing! Edit- I love the collapsible wooden basket & the fringe purse.
Karen I just love your videos so much. As one of the other commentators said she/he could watch your thrifting videos every day. I wholely agree with them. Before I go to sleep I make myself comfortable, plump my pillows, and watch you and one or two other TH-camrs to make me relax. I did have to laugh though, when you picked up the cat dresser and said, "I don't think I've ever owned a cat, I don't recall". Holy Catamoly! if you ever, ever owned a cat, believe me, you would remember!😁

Karen, I think that the lovely dark wood box with a lid that you picked up ( you wondered if it was for matches) I think it is quite old and in the UK it would be near the alter in a church and would be used to store candles...just my thoughts...I could be wrong!!

Yes! My daughter and her family currently live with me. She just had twin boys 4 months ago. I often sit with the fussy one-he’s mesmerized by Karen’s videos! Her voice is soothing for sure!

At 11:32; I have that plastic owl. Too cute it takes batteries & hoots.
I have a projector from the 60s that's in the original box. I inherited it. My husband and I took it out the other day and were shocked to find that it works. We ran comps, but they weren't going for much ($40-$50). I don't know if it has to do with the brand or not. One of these nights we'll sit and see what's on the slides. Looks to mostly be family vacations.

The painting is the office building, which is right next to St. Pats, which is also in the painting. It’s dated 1971. Really nice NYC scene.

The tall cat is a door stop...note the slanted wood in the back on the bottom ; it is wedged to fit under the door.
At around 4:38 when you were showing the large white ceramic cat - to the left was an orange plush tabby cat. I just found that cat recently and after researching, learned it's an AVON cat named Carmichael. I know you don't do plush but it was a good find and would have likely brought some profit. I'm hoping for some with mine! Love your videos and all you do. Thank you!
