Very pleasant. I used to enjoy flying around Cincinnati at sunset, watching the lights come on...made it look like an enchanted city. I distinctly remember the first time I landed at night by myself and realizing that there was no one who could save me but myself :)
It's good to see you getting help and great advice from other pilots..flying with others who've been doing it for a while will boost your confidence. But I have to agree with some of the other comments Sonia..your beautiful smile lights up everyones world.

Live up in Boston, my flight instructor had moved to St Pete...we flew to Venice for lunch at Sharks on the beach. Fond memories to this day....his wife flew a news helicopter and I got my first helicopter flight in too, we filmed a brush fire and planes dropping water on to extinguish... I don't fly on a regular basis anymore but someday again..,till then I enjoy these videos nd watching people on their flying journeys..sty safe all.

I lived in Pinellas County in the early 90's, but had a grandmother down in Venice. Nice little town. Don't remember the airport. Heck, I don't know airports too well at all (I live in my native California now, a few miles from KSAN). Beautiful flatlands down there.
You should fly into KSAV next and enjoy a day in historic downtown. Then get lunch or dinner on Riverstreet and enjoy that fresh seafood caught that day. Also get plenty of candy, peanut brittle and saltwater taffy handmade at one of the two local confectioners on Riverstreet. Maybe do the trolley tour during the morning/afternoon as well. That may be more of a flight for your "long cross country" for your instrument but if you can it'd be a great trip as a PPL.
You're welcome... I got my PPL in Statesboro, GA when I was at school and Savannah was a great place to fly, even in Class C they're accommodating and pleasant (or at least that was my experience). That and flying to Hilton Head Island or any of the barrier islands on Georgia's coast. Keep up the good work and I look forward to plenty more videos in the future. Here's hoping you'll do an instrument and multi as well... Maybe a rotorwing transition? :-P

What is that in the window at 0:35? I see it on a lot of planes not sure what it is. Was thinking it was satellite wifi or GPS or something. I would recommend getting transition glasses, they help me a lot better than squinting.
Aviation Plus I think that is an airborne advertising banner flying across the screen. I'm pretty sure the airport North Perry is home to banner tow companies. Yep, the video is sped up at that point. It's definitely a banner towing airplane moving left to right .
It is called Stratus and is a multifunctional device which is connected wirelessly to the guy's iPad. Nice video. Just a little friendly tip: Don't read back every word the controller says. Actually, use as few words as possible to let them know you understand the important part of the directions. Especially important at busy airports, so they can get on to the next person. And they'll be less likely to get frustrated. :) If that's your instructor, he should be telling you this. ie. Instead of "We'll turn left to heading 200, vectors for traffic for 209MM.", just say "Left 200 209MM".
Not sure if this is on your check list but do you actually move the controls surface to maximum deflected angle in the up and down position? A pilot and copilot lost there lives when a mechanic adjusted the turnbuckle in to extreme direction and the elevator had excessive negative angle and little possitive angle.
Once you start doing longer distance flights, you should fly to nassau in the Bahamas. It also has the Atlantis water park you can have fun at! I took a cruise there! It was very fun!
The Suncoast Cafe in that FBO is actually a great little restaurant. Great Cuban sandwiches, eggs Benedict, just about everything is good there. Also, wasn't Steveo supposed to help you finish up your license?

there was a crosswind, but i was also overcorrecting, something i gotta work on. Was flying in 24-30Kn winds all of december, but will improve on that soon =)

I've started using the term Currency burger / meal. Works for $ as well as keeping up flight proficiency positives without the added guilt on the poor burger! ;) Enjoyed as always and way to go keeping at it with your unbelievable schedule I'm sure.
Presidential TFRs 3 weekends in a row at KPMP. Bummer. Venice is great nothing like a beach-front restaurant close to the airport where you can watch the sunset!
Hi Sonia I am at KTMB (Pan Air Flying Club) but really feel bad for all the FBOs, Flight Schools and plane owners unable to fly the last three beautiful South Florida weekends due to the TFRs.
Airspace to the south, east and west of KTMB is nice and there are lots of choices for Flight Schools and rental options. It does get very busy on weekends with delays for take off. If you are able to fly off-hours (weekdays and really early) it is less hectic. I recommend a tour of options there before deciding.
There is nothing better than lifting off the ground and the feeling of soaring around during a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed the video Sonia!

What day did you fly there? I flew there Tuesday from Daytona in a Twinstar! I flew through some of the fluffy clouds on my way!
