After that we dig into a cracked dash and show how easy it is to replace one yourself with some aftermarket parts from LMC Truck, and then we look at a painless solution will help clean up years of spliced wires and old electrical tape that might be lurking under your hood. I had a 1965 Oldsmobile 442 that I put a Corvette engine into made it a 80 over stroker. When I was done building the engine it had 800 horses under the hood, and 750 pounds of torque. It was all kept under the hood. I remember the long hours of making the wiring harness jig. and running all the wires and wrapping everything with electrical tape and finished covering it with the convoluted cable cover. lots of hours in the harness build but worth the time.

my buddy had a Beautiful nova! mint condition. got it off a little old lady (literally! ) it was a beauty! within a year it caught fire! often thought about rebuilding it.

sorry but i call bs. I've been a certified master gm tech for over a decade. your average guy is not replacing his dash in an afternoon. it will be a couple days and then followed by realizing you forgot something important buried deep in there.
Yep. At least there are big connections that can only attach to one place. Unlike dashes from say 1974 where it looks like a spool of wire blew up in there. But yeah you're not doing that in a weekend. Add in beer and well........a recipe for disaster.
Why did Mopar go so cheap and flimsy on the interior??Speaking of Mopar there's no way I would have a new Dodge Dart, I've never heard anything but bad news about those cheap throw away vehicles, they are like the Neons of 20 years ago

I used to get up early to watch your show then not on tv and heard your on amazon prime but us Canadiens don't get it and your show is the best you teach and show things that people can. Relate to and I'm all.old.school all my new vehicles always fails and falls apart to much money to fix but my old carbotatoir always always fires up standard transmission no problems at all

Agreed, it ain't no muscle car. It's a Sport Compact. Muscle=V8. I4=Sport Compact. It's still better than those 80s Mitsubishi hatchback Chargers. Although a friend had the Carol Shelby witch was pretty cool for what it was.
