two minutes in and the first thing you guys do is establish how 90% of paladins play the game as if it's the sole reason for a "bland game play"? /facepalm... I've been playing the class for 20 years, and never once did my damage output rely on Wings! If you're damage output relies on this cool down for output, you're playing the class wrong, PERIOD! And the fact you guys didn't even address this in your opener is just telling of what all else I'm about to see here... -.- Talents: - You're favouring Herald over Templar when both are equally viable and didn't explain, or are simply incapable of explaining why this is.. - You're "basic" paladin tree talents are typical of the 90% (Not good) because you think a haste buff is actually beneficial over more damage procs... - You're Ret side talents... -.- ... There's a lot here.. 1. You don't establish the difference between the various "how to" output damage talents and why these work in their own way, which would reflect a level of game play that an individual paladin maybe after vs another style. (Example: My style is more burst, but that burst is every 30 seconds, with a 1 minute CD of "I AM GOD, FEAR ME!" rotation, that has another secondary 1 minute rotation that weaves in between.. Ever 1.5 minutes features 3 different priority spell based rotations with procs that drop ridiculous damage where wings isn't the primary feature, but my enemies think it is, so they waste their defensive's on it, when the real damage follows shortly after..) 2. Nothing about how your talents synergize with mastery, or in fact don't... There's a difference between play style and output methods here, you didn't cover, like at all.. 3. No auxiliary!!!!! Again! Typical of the 90% to not understand the importance of Holy Power generation, and getting out as many Templar Verdicts as possible! (Especially when you're preaching Hammer of Wrath procs! /facepalm).. Imagine telling people you need an ability that will increase the output of another ability, but then not talent to make it so that first buffing ability also gives you the HP needed to follow it up immediately with the buffed ability!!! /facepalm PvP: - You're pvp talents segment missed a key detail.. I'm a give this one out for free; If you're running Spellwarding, you don't need BoP, so your talent in the paladin side can be moved and SHOULD be moved to Lightforged Blessing, as this is extra bonus healing based on your health bar not only for yourself, but nearby allies every time you proc a free Divine storm, or just mash it willy nilly when the enemy is all bunched up on top of you. Otherwise it's Hollowed ground to counter snares and slows.. - There are other things, but I'm a keep that to myself... Stats?: - We get to stat priority, and you guys are preaching Mastery, which you should, while also touting a similar dragonflight Ret tree as it is, which completely UNDERMINES the mastery stat? /Facepalm No wonder your damage is reliant on wings.. (Take a closer look at the tool tips of "Blade of Light", and "Burning Crusade"... Figure it out!) - Imagine preaching haste to reduce ability CD on a class with 4 different proc mechanics that literally refreshes the CD on those key abilities with added support abilities that create extra bonus HP on demand for instant output or sustain ability. -.- Like I'm not even saying that the haste build is bad, but like, at least tell them a realistic reason as to WHY it's good (If you're running haste, yes, your CD's will drop, and you can cast these HP generating abilities more often, but that's not the reason you do it! You do it for the BURN! Expurgation, Truth Wake, Templar Slash, and Dawnlight all leave Dot's on your targets, and the haste makes those dots tic FASTER, which has the consequence of ADDING more tics to the duration of these affects! THAT"S WHY haste build! No other reason!)! - Completely shitting on crit, which has been traditionally the BEST stat for the class since vanilla is insane to me, but explains once again why you're reliant on wings for output being that this is your only crit chance on your characters! When a paladin hits you, YOU KNOW ABOUT IT! And that's because they crit hard! Stacking verse, mastery and crit ensures all your abilities that (Hint hint hint) do HOLY damage, not only hit like a truck baseline, but hit like a fully loaded truck with a double hitched trailer when it crits! And if every other hit you do is a crit, your target isn't going to be a target for too long... Stacking crit makes it so when you pop wings, it's guaranteed to crit at least half of the time! Where you guys suffer is that you're not only reducing your output by NOT doing holy damage, but by relying on "bonus procs" that require you to do damage to earn more damage, while your baseline damage is shit to begin with because it isn't affected by your mastery! -.- You guys just told the 90% of paladin player how to stay part of the 90% (Which are bad paladins).... -.- ..
I've got 6 days on my ret since the TWW launch, focusing mainly on pvp, and it definitely feels like Hard Mode, vs my experience playing a Mage, Rogue or DK...
@andersflem9628 I'd definitely stick with Unholy DK, they're much, much stronger against casters in particular (whereas Ret's lack of mobility makes mages, etc. really difficult to deal with). I think the main challenge Ret has is that the current meta (high damage with most classes having lots of powerful shield and self-healing abilities) really lowers the value of their support abilities; especially when you consider that they clearly don't have the pressure of a warrior, DK, hunter, etc.
Ret is too squishy with some of the talent changes. They are super fun to play, but lack mortal strike and don’t have enough defensives (divine purpose does 10% dmg reduction in pvp where pretty much every other class has a 30%). DK, warr, monk, feral, dh, rogue all have MS and more defensives. They need a survivability buff and MS.
@@wulfstevens9495 yea but I still play if we weak or strong my only class and spec so I fight through it's weak points but in 11.0.5 watch everyone main ret again with eye for a eye no forbearance way better healing and stronger wings
And this season tho I think mastery is the way to go but it still blows my mind how needy people go in arena lmao I still click every move and use no macros and still hit dulist and elite every season
@@burtonkevin32 i run crusade with radiant glory and aura of reck every game, i try to get a 10 stack of crusade before waking for a fully buffed wake and to extend my fully stacked crusade

Any idea why weak auras for missing buff from skillcapped doesn’t work ?
I've got 6 days on my ret since the TWW launch, focusing mainly on pvp, and it definitely feels like Hard Mode, vs my experience playing a Mage, Rogue or DK...
Why is ret harder then Dk? Asking because i wonder if its worth leveling my DK if Ret is so hard mode in comparison.

13:09 aura of reckoning has been bugged I’ve noticed every time I get 100 stacks and proc it just resets with no proc of crusade

Finally ret is getting some love I feel like alot of top players like venruki supatease and other ignore Rey because their not interested
