Thanks for uploading this, there are very few user reviews of this helmet currently! I find generally I don't fit in HJC helmets but it seems like a well priced alternative to the Shoei Ex-Zero. It might not be available in the US yet but another alternative is the Bycity "The Rock", however that lacks the drop-down visor so if you want eye protection then goggles are a must!
I looked at the ex-zero as well, and typically I'm a big fan of shoei. I've owned an RFSR and an RF 1400. I wear a large in those and large for this particular HJC seems to fit exactly right. I can't speak to the fitment of other HJC helmets because this is the first one that I have owned. I know that you can't walk into a store and buy one of these in the US, so that's why I figured I'd upload the video. Overall, I'd say the quality is extremely nice for the price point and I would definitely buy it again.
Great practical review, thank you. I also have a question about your experience with it in the rain. Does the chin bar deflect the water off, or does it get inside? if the water gets in, how bad is it, is your face wet? Water dripping down your neck? Does the lining get soaking wet? This is my only doubt before getting this, as for now I have only used regular full face helmets which obviously seal completely off in case of the rain. I wouldn't choose it on the day I knew the rain was inevitable, but we all get caught up in the rain from time to time.

Yes! Speakers were easily installed because hjc put pockets for them in the helmet. Good size too and they partially hide behind the cheek pads so they don't touch your ears.
Hello Kevin, thanks for the video and feedback. Did I see a FL plate? How does this helmet feel in hot weather? How does it do as a matter of fact in different types of weather? Is the peak catching wind at freeway speed? Thank you.
The helmet is excellent in the Florida heat. Sadly this means it'll be very chilly in any type of cold haha. You can certainly feel a presence of the peak at highway speeds, but it's not a completely terrible and since it's easily removable with a three snap buttons, you can just throw it in a bag if you're going to hit the highway. :)
Great impressions vid and was very helpful. I'm so close to pulling the trigger. I usually gravitate towards M/L sizing. My head measures 57.7cm which places me at a medium, but hat that transitional break in period. Wanted to get your thoughts, you think i should go for a medium or large? TIA
Honestly I can say that I wear a large in shoei and it fits me perfectly with the large HJC. That's typically my only point of reference so I would say the sizing is pretty true. Absolutely love this helmet! It's my go-to whenever I'm going for a short blast
Honestly, this has become my go-to helmet if I'm not going for any kind of highway blast. If I'm staying in town and I'm going to be under 65 mph, I'm going to pick up this one because it's the most comfortable and breathes the best.
Hey, I appreciate the question, it's definitely livable if you have some wind protection on the motorcycle as I mostly ride naked bikes. It is a little bit of a chore but I have found it's doable. I did an hour ride on the freeway the other day and was able to do it without much problem but definitely not my first choice in helmet for a longer ride.
Well I hope to never find out but after owning about a dozen different helmets I would say the build quality and fit and finish are very nice. Plus the ECE certification makes me feel pretty good about safety.

Gorgeous helmet except it would be nice if the visor shut completely! Was the intercom speakers easy to install? Love the helmet looks 10/10!

Meh, you have lots of options for adventure helmets with fully closing visors, the point of this is it's almost an open-face.

How is the size of the opening. Will it take all goggles? I have 100% Barstows. Thanks
It will certainly take goggles. Although I don't find the opening to be as big as the one in my mx9 Adventure MIPS.

Got mine in the green color today, the stitching on mine is off just like yours. Really poor decision by the manufacturer 😢
that leather was purposely designed for wind deflect. as per hjc
