Also, gun fire is very loud. Cops would each be able to tell difference between a shot fired from below them and one from a distance behind them. The guy in the back was startled by the sound of the gun fire. Look at his body language in the second angle slow motion replay.

Tell me you know nothing about guns without actually telling me. When a gun is in an OWB holster with some sort of retention system the trigger is blocked. It is physically impossible to pull the trigger while the gun is still in the holster.

Officer's finger was still indexed, meaning it was resting on the frame, and not on the trigger. The gun won't fire unless that trigger is activated, and it was certainly not activated.

So many things to unpack 1. The police have to patrol these areas in unmarked cars bcuz its so much trash out there committing crimes. 2. The shop owner in my opinion is complicit, installing gambling machines that attracts the hopeless. People who don't have a job or anything to do but loiter and figure out ways to get quick cash. 3. The officers are also complicit. Bcuz they ran up on him and really violated his civil rights. They could have asked him to step outside the store for questioning and avoided that whole scuffle. The scuffle happened bcuz of how he was approached. 4. Majority of these street dudes are not lease holders or homeowners in these communities. They are staying with someone or renting an airbnb in the area 5. The guy with the red shirt is a bum as well. He and the victim both hang out at that store being fully able bodied men in the dead of night playing a gambling machine, smoking marijuana, and cigarettes and being aided by the shop owner who wants to profit off of the weak, destitute and poor. Its all a cycle. There is so much politics that go into how all of these people meet at the same time and its all systematic. The cops, the shop owner, the thugs and the thieves. When approaching an alleged suspect for a weapons check in this type of situation, environment..
Ask the alleged suspect to come to the front of store where the lighting is better and there is more space
Notify alleged suspect that He is suspected of carrying an illegal firearm and/or what’s the reason for him being singled out
Do the body raised shirt check as seen in this video, but also proceed with the pat down routine, [even if alleged suspect has to remove outer jacket/ winter coat] while simultaneously, inquire of such said alleged suspect if he is licensed to carry a firearm and if so, is the firearm for work, personal or both?
Also inquire about other objects that may be on his person that can be be perceived as a weapon or any other form of illegal contraband or items that can be perceived as illegal contraband
With 3 police officers this procedure could have been followed easily and loss of life and injury could have been avoided

I had to slow it down. Both cops guns did not leave their holsters when they first shot went off. They had their hands on them. When holstered the triggers can’t be pulled because it’s a piece of plastic over the trigger to prevent a self shooting. That guy shot the cops first
