What's really cool about science in general is in the present. Things that seem impossible or at least improbable could be pretty tame for people in let's say a couple of centuries from now. The real question is how would time travel benefit society as a whole? Would drive a person insane to think of the kind of negative situations or potential paradoxes would occur from simply going back to see yourself a decade ago just for a fist bump or something. The restrictions on something like time travel would be heavy if not outlawed outright due to potential problems from it I'd assume.

In my point of view, I think it would let scientific know that there's much more in this universe and more to be discover and more questions to answer. It would probably benefit in the field of science and later on the government will probably want to use it so that the FBI can use this to solve cases that haven't been solve yet, something like that. All points in time are happening at once, the Earth is being born and being destroyed at this instant. Past, present and future are happening now.

Malett’s theory hinges on being able to slow down the speed of light. Which is possible, true, but he also assumes it will affect the universe locally inside his machine because the speed of light is a “universal constant” according to general relativity. Which is also true, but the localised slowing of light will in no way affect the way light works in the rest of the universe. It’s like assuming that by hanging speed cameras to slow down traffic you’ll be able to eliminate on-road fatalities completely.

    • @passerby4507
      @passerby4507 2 ปีที่แล้ว

What do you mean by his theory hinges on being able to slow down light? There's no mention of that in the video.

    • @ProtonFilms_Mark
      @ProtonFilms_Mark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@passerby4507 because the editors at BBC know it makes no sense. In the past he said that his time machine will be submerged in some kind of viscous liquid in order for the lasers to slow down compared to the rest of the universe. Supposedly in his words it should give them enough traction against space to twist it backwards.

    • @maheshch1829
      @maheshch1829 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Idk about his past statements. If it was like you said then he's wrong. But possible solution is to bend the spacetime by using light. Energy/mass can bend the spacetime. But we need an extreme amount of energy to warp the spacetime. Though we can move to future only, no way to past.

    • @ProtonFilms_Mark
      @ProtonFilms_Mark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@maheshch1829 I know it is. But he states that it's possible to reduce the energy requirements by increasing light's traction against space time by slowing the former down.

They are where you are going. Same for someone behind you they are in your past. Its quiet easy. You're simply experiencing what happened already, time travel suggest that at any given moment someone from year 3000 can spawn next to you, this on itself means that year 3000 is somehow existing already in time and space, which of course it is...it all happened from big bang to the end of time...It already happened. The sole reason behind that not happening is because it never did happened. Time never bent back so someone teleported from 1000 years in the future. But if it did happen for some reason, then it won't unhappen. It will 100% happen for someone after 1000 years to come back and visit you. That's how it works. And it's mathematically proven. It's called bootstrap paradox.

I've never understood why clocks run slower when you're 'moving quickly'.
My understanding is that Einstein said that everything is relative. There's no absolute reference point in space, yes?
So if you're moving quickly relative to me, your clock runs slower than mine.
BUT I'm also moving quickly relative to you, so my clock should run slower than yours.
    Both can't be right.
The only way I can make sense of it if it's *acceleration* that makes the clock run slower, not velocity.
Is the astronaut younger because she's been in a lower gravity field, rather than because she's been orbiting at 20,000mph?

Does anyone know if he has written any papers on his theory ? With conventional time travel nothing you do can change the future because you are just creating new events. There is a chance you may not exist in the past you have entered.

B theory of time: The B-theory of time is the name given to one of two positions regarding the temporal ordering of events in the philosophy of time. B-theorists argue that the flow of time is an illusion, that the past, present, and future are equally real, and that time is tenseless: temporal becoming is not an objective feature of
    reality.
What are the chances of time travel!? In my theory, time travel is absolutely
possible… it’s just a matter of space and time combination.
one could imagine the race of 2D figures which are travelling in the surface of the earth but couldn’t experience the 3rd direction which is up and down.
In the “Einstein theory of relativity” it was a major intellectual revolution that has transformed the way we thought the universe earlier… it is a theory not only of the curved space but of curved or warped time as well.
We saw the way of the difference of space and time is not that so! Instead, space and time has a deep relationship.
THEY FORM A 4TH DIMENTION CALLED SPACETIME BECAUSE; ON A LARGER SCALE THERE COULD BE GALLACTIC LATTITUDE AND LONGITUDE
FROM THE CENTER OF THE GALAXY, THE FORTH DIRECTION MENTIONED IS EVENT.
IN 1905, WHEN EINSTEIN WAS A CLERK IN A SWISS PATENT OFFICE, EINSTEIN SHOWED THAT THE TIME AND POSITION AT WHICH ONE THOUGHTAN EVENT OCCURRED DEPENDENT ON HOW ONE WAS MOVING THIS MEANS TIME AND SPACE WERE INEXTRICABLY BOUND UP WITH EACH OTHER.
So here comes the big deal:
In order to travel through time, one must break the time space relation and through the relative of speed...
    as E=MC2
, meaning energy forms when a mass of a body combines with the speed2… for speed distance
has to be measured with the time.
Now, we have to travel absolute speed, forming an energy, breaking the barrier of
time (WITH SPACE) and should go backwards of it, according to the specified (one)
    observer.
So, all we need is to travel doubling the speed of light.
Unfortunately, their needs an infinite power supply to cover almost the speed of
    light.
    …………………………………………………………………………………..
In brief, e.g., STARS. The nearest stars to Earth are in the Alpha Centauri triple-star
system, about 4.37 light-years away. In this speed, light travels for 4 years (approx.)
to enter to the earth, in our naked eyes. So, it’s absolutely sure that the light starts at
its initial point about 4 years ago and now we can see that light. So, if we double the
speed travelled from the star to the light and enter earth, due to the time space
distortion, we would be able to see the past…
    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
we are here from the time of the big bang…
So, in some corner in our enormous mind; lives the significant
memory of it. So, our peculiar mind is about the size of the
universe, not physically but logically… so we know every single
part of the universe, we can travel beyond infinite energy if we
focus on only one object, clear and empty the mind, travel through
4th dimension loop, and reach the past and see a small glance of
    future.
    …………………………………………………………………
FROM THE WORDS OF STEVEN HAWKING In 1950,
Einstein showed that the effects of gravity could be described by supposing that space time
was warped or distorted by matter or energy in it, and this theory is known as GENERAL
RELATIVITY. We can actually observe that this warping of space time produced by the mass
of the sun in the slight bending of light or radio waves passing close to the sun.
We have experimental evidence that space and time is warped. The amount of warping in
our neighborhood is very small because all the gravitational fields in the solar system are
week… However, we know that strong fields can occur, for example in the BIG BANGS or in
    the BLACK HOLES.
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
All the evidence is that the universe started out in the big bang without the kind of warping
needed to allow travel into the past.
So, the only way to get from one side of the galaxy to other
in a reasonable time would seem to be if we could warp
space-time so much that we created a little TUBE or WORMHOLE.
You could even manage to travel back in time in a single wormhole if its two ends
    relatively moving to each other.
THE REASON QUANTUM THEORY CAN ALLOW THE ENERGY DENSITY
TO BE NEGATIVE IS THAT IT IS BASED ON THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLES.
THIS SAYS THAT CERTAIN QUANTITIES LIKE THE POSITION AND SPEED OF A PARTICLE CAN’T BOTH HAVE WELL DEFINED VALUES. so does wave-particles in 4th Dimension

I have two theories about time travel.
    1. It has been invented and for some reason they decided it was too dangerous to be used, at all. Due to the way messing with time could affect the present and future.
    2. Time travel isn't possible because of some natural force still unknown to us prevents us to change what has already been "written in stone" meaning that what has happened stays that way.
