Well-done, John. I look forward to the day when you start reassembly but the repair is also very interesting as well! Your wife must be one patient person...

Thanks Allen! She's an angel. Her welding skills are doing great too. HAHA!!
Seriously, she knows I love this stuff. I do have a growing list of house chores that will be addressed so She gets what she wants too. Happy Wife, Happy Life:) Cheers John.

Absolutely brilliant John. In my book, you can't brace too much, for what it costs and how long it takes comparatively, it's a no-brainer. I'm also with you on the bolt-on brackets, welding directly to the shell might be OK for the smaller, basket-case shells, but on a car as reasonable as yours, I like it more. what you have done will make things (almost) pleasurable going forward.

Thanks Bob. Just standing next to it and being able to access all those tight areas is going to make it not only easier, but more enjoyable. Which will in the end lead to a better end result. I'm so appreciative of all the input I get from this channel and the facebook groups. Thanks for your interest Bob and comments. Cheers John.

Hi John. Greetings from Orlando. My thought process tells me to start with replacement of the rockers on the driver side. That should keep the car better together before attacking the rear dog leg disaster. For that section I wonder if it would be best to try to transplant the same section of a possible donor car. Dont remember if you still have the donor you took the fenders from. Reason I say this is that I think it will be a real challenge to replicate the curvatures of that section that is almost completely gone. My 2 cents. Congratulations on the progress. I wish I was closer to offer a helping hand. What are the plans for the 6.3 transmission? Cheers man!

I think you're right Frank. I was thinking of removing the floor pan which would give me a much better visual and access to the rocker area. There's an area at the back near to that dog leg that intersects with the inner rocker. I think I'll start there and work my way in. I've got several ideas on that rear nasty section in my mind. My main goal is to repair so it looks like its not been touched but internally adding and making sure is as strong as possible. Appreciate your input Cheers John.

"Not something to really be concerned about"!!! - REALLY? - Wow! John to me, thats a mammoth task, even in a commercial panel shop. My hat goes of to you for tackling such a job, I'm thinking this mist be a w109 Chassis? and did you fabricate the rotisserie , sorry if I might have missed something been away in NZ for the last 6 weeks.
    Cheers from down under
    Glenn .

You're right Glenn, its a w109. I did make the Rotisserie. I shot a video a few back showing the set up. Commercially available ones would not fit in my tight space and still be able to close the door. Its a big job and is going to take careful planning to get it right, but its fun too.
      Cheers John 🍻
