R.e. Caffeine I was just the same Simon - drank coffee and tea pretty much non-stop from the first one watching the 1988 FA cup final as a fellow 8 year old. Gave both up in 2022 for a year and noticed a dramatic improvement in sleep and alertness (going to bed tired, waking up awake). Switched to decaf for both towards the end of last year and it’s win-win - tastes just the same but without the baggage
coffee is hard to quit - I can get past the physical withdrawal ( I tapered down over 10 weeks ) but couldn't get past being in a poor mood I know the answer is TIME but it was discouraging to be irritable and moody

Simon, I'd like to pick up your black lion course some time in the future...I've read one of your chess puzzle books and my rating online is struggling to get over 2000, so I'm wondering do you have any materials that aren't opening based that you would recommend someone I'm guessing my real rating to be in the 1800 range that could help me develop to the expert 2000-2100 range?
I started playing linger games again. Almost 1900 been 2060 before, but totally just tanked my blitz rating from 1900s to 1600s and don't know how. Hopefully long games will bring it back
