That Dio bike at the beginning of the video was such a hit.. best non gear ever.. That corner you were standing in front of you that's HA ground... Rickshaws and Matadors were used to transport kids to schools, rare sight now.. Thank you Mister Andrew for Nostalgia! Come back again.
I'm currently in Pune, and for some reason, the TH-cam algorithm suggested I watch this video, which was uploaded 16 years ago. I believe it's from 2008!
I married my wife from Pune in 2000. We live in Minneapolis, MN. This was my first trip to India in November, 2000. Filmed in November, 2000. My in-laws lived in the Telco Senior Officers Colony. Sadly my father-in-law has passed away.
Thank you for your enthusiastic response! I am sorry but I am a white guy who lives in Minneapolis, MN. I haven't been back to my wife's Pune neighborhood in three years! When I return, I will film some more!
I can see how people stop in between and watch you as a foreigner White man My goodness I was the same when I was kid. I was just staring the foreigner for long time may be I am in bus or bike or walking was just exciting for me how this human can survive in country like India where everyone is so excited. I laugh a lot because I listen the conversation the people say in your footage like they were playing with mustache and also they was a conversation in which they said let's pick up this guy and take home somewhere but in a joking manner. Till the time I come to USA 🇺🇸 I was having the same excitement about foreigners and I believe after going back to India I'll take a step forward to start a conversation with them if I found some. Thanks again for sharing this with me Andrew 🎉❤😊
I used to live in one of those small houses called Vastu Udyog, and I recognize some people in this video. However, it seems much older than 16 years ago. Thanks for sharing, man.
My college is in that area, there is so much changed near these streets now but I can totally recognize the area. Good to see the old view of the same are that I go to every evening. There is a ground near it too which is still there, we play cricket on weekends and holidays there
i used to live nearby that area, till i was 11 years old now i am 21 and i must say this video has made me so nostalgic is so heartwarming seeing Ajmera as it was 16 years ago its just so dreamy. thank you andrew for this amazing video, may god bless you
Notice how there's less traffic because of no fancy cars, all we can see are motorcycles, rickshaws (public transport), cycles, trucks and the one or two cars we see are santro and maruti 800
Thank you.. from someone who spent best 16 years of life in this area. This area is completely changed now. Will post the video if possible in some days.
November 2000? What a very specific dumb comment 😂 , when cars like Hyundai Getz & Santro Xing are in video. By reading uploaders old comments he came to Pune around 2007 & made this video.
This area is really developed now and there are hotels and restaurants everywhere, flyovers and even the metro reaches here i think. Its totally cjanged after 16 years
Although this video was uploaded in 2007, seeing those old models of scooters and bikes makes me wonder if it was shot sometime in earlier 2000s. Either way, pure nostalgia. 2007 was also the year when Om Shanti Om was released. Also the knock-off "iPods" or portable music players were getting popular amongst teenagers and youngsters around that time, not to mention the arrival of Chinese phones too! What a time it was ❤😅
Hey it's like a true gem again .... For me it's more than a gem as I grew up in neighbourhood and used to hang out daily in this exact area in my teenage 🤌🤌🎉🎉😁😁

My Dear friend. Thank you so much. I have stayed there for all my life & now its been 3 years I havent visited this place. But your video brings all the memories alive
24 years.. time changed. Those kids on scooter must be now 26-27 years of age. School boys wearing khakis must be working in some companies or business. Mothers riding scooters must be in early 50s.
@@AndrewHeyer cool….if you come back someday make sure to try sweets/dhokla/samosa/kachori from Rasrang shop nearby it’s really good and a major landmark nowadays 👍🏻
It was a Canon Camcorder that recorded to tape, analog NTSC Standard Definition 480i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, at 30 frames per second. Then I converted it to SD digital MP4 via Adobe Premiere Elements. Today I could use Topaz Video AI to stabilize and upgrade the video to HD and 60 FPS. But it is very good as-is. Your mind can fill in the details.
