Yes I can do that But it can only charge, and it's really hard to connect data connections, it can only be used for charging. I plan to make a video in the future on the PlayStation 4 handle on the Xbox handle.👍
@@MrSatech That's why you can't use a cable with USB-C on both ends. The current sink (power bank) does not tell the current source (USB charger) to make power available. This is done by two 5k1 pull-down resistors on the power bank side, connected to pins CC1 and CC2. This is an important feature of USB-C. Omitting it results in it only working with cables with USB-A on one end and USB-C on the other. But we all know that double-sided USB-C/USB-C cables are the future.

I tried doing the same thing a while back, the problem was that if its connected with only VBUS and Ground the default power will be 5V at 1Amp thats 5 watts nothing more. if the unit needs 2amps at 5volts it will take a while to charge it compared to charging it with micro usb.
I have the Kicker Tabor 2 headphones, they have the micro usb connection. I wish there’s was a tear down of them so I could see if a USB C port would match the solder points.

At 4:10 right after you solder the usb c adapter to the board the camera jumps and suddenly there's a small bit of red wire your soldering on that wasn't there before. What's it for? To my understanding of type c used strictly for charging needs somewhere around a 52kohm resistor for CC communication to the charging cable you plug into it. It is not reverting polarity, the USB-C connector it's reversible because it's a mirrored connector (both sides are identical, but flipped)

You probably omitted pull-down resistors on CC pins of the USB-C connector.

Is there a link to the usb c port you can provide? The ones I see online seem to be a different size/shape on the board side, and have a ton more pins
6-pin and 16-pin are the SMD variants I am aware of in terms of pin count.
