great start, def glad you started here because tcgplayer advice is null and void if its stuff that should be listed on a diff platform. Btw, ive had decent success selling mtg bulk on mercari, dont sleep on that platform. Theres 2 reasons cards dont sell, either buyers arent seeing what u have for sale, or the price is too high, GET EYES ON UR STUFF! Thanks man, really excited for this series!
Love how you bring down high-level concepts to the concrete with your examples. One thing I've been wondering (it may be more in the realm of consulting/patreon, no sweat if that's the case) is c/b of tracking as a means of mitigating risk from scammers or actual shipping losses. I'm starting to mull over what kind of positioning I would have to take in order to start and I imagine it would involve tighter margins. Any experience or data on the frequency of mail losses would be huge for finding a rudimentary EV on tracking.
Thank you!! Technically a buyer could say the wrong card was contained in a tracked envelope even if you can prove it was delivered. You're never free from the risk of scammers however by sending it tracked you at least have some insurance if it does get lost. I've only had one tracked package get truly lost in the past year, and the post office refunded me. I have roughly 5 or so letters per month that go out and never make it to the customer.
