Ah, a gameplay video that is very well done - clearly visible, there never is any doubt to what is currently happening on the board. Also you people are genuinely amiable. An easy subscribe.
From 25:24, Naveen badly undersells A Grimm Tale: there are 2 copies of the card, they heal Little Red for 2 points, or 4 points if the wolf's pelt is in her basket, and the card has a wolfsbane icon, meaning that if you follow up with What Large Hands You Have, you can take the card back into your hand. While this combo is not easy to pull off, its existence means that Little Red can potentially heal 16 health over the course of one game--more health that she starts with! I adore Little Red.
I love Unmatched, and Little Red is by far my favourite hero. As someone more familiar with the game, some of your decisions made me wince a little, but I did enjoy your game nonetheless, and you presented it clearly and succinctly, making it easy to follow for those who are new to it. One little thing, though: they're not swords, but Little Red's knives, seen in the illustrations; not a fox tail but the wolf's pelt, which she covers herself with in The Wolf's Skin; and the flowers are wolfsbane, making them wonderfully thematic, especially when it comes to the What Big Eyes You Have card.
Just a small rule nitpick. At 9:00 Huntsman should have closed the door before Little Red moved. The rules state that one fighter must finish their move before the next one starts theirs. It doesn't really matter at all in this instance though.
Can I have only one question about the gameplay? Why would you move your character after battle (if there is no ranged character)? Is there any reason? Or you can just stay at one place whole game without moving?
You can do actions in any order (and you don't have to maneuver as one of them). You'll find this covered in detail in the tutorial, if you'd like to see the rules in detail: th-cam.com/video/FdzLJDl0qk8/w-d-xo.html
I tend to avoid personalized recommendations - what one person might like, another might not. With Unmatched I tend to recommend picking the set with the characters that look most interesting to you, but if you are thinking of it purely from a mechanics standpoint, I'd probably say Cobble & Fog. If it's your first set, you also get more variety of matchups, since it comes with 4 characters.
@@WatchItPlayed OMG you guys replied!!! Ahhh gosh this made my day thank you very much for noticing I am just watching your newest video right now while I am on break!
We avoid trying to make personalized assessments like that. Different people enjoy different things, and whether this would be worth it for you, is really hard to say - but hopefully the videos give you a sense of the game play so you can compare it against your tastes.

Really glad you enjoyed - thanks for the kind comment!
It wasn't clearly visible to me... because youtube had automatically chosen 480p resolution. After I changed that it was perfect lol
This game series has such a clean and elegant design, both artistically and mechanically. Great playthrough, as always :)
Yeah, I love the production and presentation of this game.

Unmatched, Summoner Wars and Mage Wars is my trifecta of great 2 player board games. Never get tired of playing them!
Great picks! I haven't played Mage Wars, but have heard good things from those who like it!
Naveen's big brain play to decide who was first player, actually blowed my mind

Thanks for the catch!
Are you supposed to play the characters from the same game or can you fight vs characters from other unmatched itterations or is that not balanced?
You can mix and match any characters you like!
Can I have only one question about the gameplay? Why would you move your character after battle (if there is no ranged character)? Is there any reason? Or you can just stay at one place whole game without moving?
You don’t have to move if you don’t want to.
Some of my favorite content creators playing one of my favorite games?!? What is this magic?!
haha thanks Daniel!
MOARRR PLEASE! :)
More on the way!
Little Red Riding Hood vs. the Big Beo Wulf.
Isn't it required for you to always maneuver as your first action then only play a single card after that or maneuver again as your last action?
You can do actions in any order (and you don't have to maneuver as one of them). You'll find this covered in detail in the tutorial, if you'd like to see the rules in detail: th-cam.com/video/FdzLJDl0qk8/w-d-xo.html
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for the clarification!!
What would be your recommendation as a first Unmatched box set? I am am experienced gamer, so not looking for a ‘beginner set’, thx

Why are there no subtitles for the hearing impaired. 😢
If someone is interested in making them as a .srt file we’ll certainly add them.
Dont see the subtitles?
If you turn on Klingon subtitles, you'll only see something if an error is found. If you see nothing, that means there is no error.
