  • This is my first time making leather saddle bags. I've previously made simple frame bags for my bikes, but nothing on this scale. This electric bicycle was a perfect opportunity.

    The primary leather is Tandy's Hurricane Side. This will be a good setup to bring to the beach or mountain vacations (both of which we do on the regular). But dang it takes a lot of square footage of material!

    I'm sure the quality and quantity of leather you used was not cheap. But, certainly exponentially less expensive, better quality and definitely more beautiful than any bags you could purchase! I love to watch you work!

    Loved the look of the saddle bags. As far as the bike, I wish my Rad Rover would go faster than 20 mph but it has a speed limiter.

    • @RoadAgentLeather
      @RoadAgentLeather  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Is there no way to disengage the limiter? This bike came with a default setting that capped the top speed, but can be programed to go faster. And thanks for the subscribe!

    Bags looked top notch. My jaw dropped at 20:14 my lace cutter has never done that trick. Half the time it ends up halfway across the garage with a lot of choice words about the creators of said 'tool'. Maybe a future video? Can you remind me of the leather book you recommended for making holsters or the video it's in? Thanks!

      I say this through experience, I have had leather saddle bags before and they are not very durable due to natural causes and they need regular maintenance to keep the leather in good condition with the hectic schedule & full agenda that these days everyone has leather is not the right material. Please do not take me wrong your saddle bags are the best I have seen.
      Best of regards
