- Part two of a two-video leatherworking series. I make a fully-lined ranger-style belt with a buscadero-style slot with nickel spots. This would be a fancy rig for cowboy action shooting. Please leave any questions in the comments and I'll try to answer.
This particular rig will be available for sale on my Etsy page shortly. (search "roadagentleather")
Fascinating... what a craftsman you are! Absolutely beautiful rig!
Thank you very much!
@@RoadAgentLeather My pleasure. Impossible to appreciate the work that goes into its creation without viewing the process. May I ask approximately how many "man hours" were involved? I now have a greater appreciation for the rigs I have after seeing your fascinating video!
That's some real talent in holster making, and video like this helps folks understand what hard work and material goes into such a rig and justify the cost. Great job absolutely beautiful.
I just want to take a moment to say thank you!! I have been watching your videos for sometime now and I’m in the middle of a “Hand of God” build. I have been using your 5 part video as my MAJOR guideline. You have been most helpful! I have the holster parts all cut out and tooled, working on the belt now. This vid was most helpful…. Like measuring to the second hole!! MOST HELPFUL! How to set rivets, how to tool leathers, you have been a great help!! Antique finish on leather has been great as well! I just wanted to say thanks
That's great to hear! I occasionally include a subscriber show-and-tell in my videos. Shoot me a picture of it when you're done.
I watch all of your videos from London UK. A true Master craftsman at one with his Art 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho! Realmente é uma obra prima seus coldres!
Thanks for watching!
What a fantastic rig and some pretty fancy twirling at the end. Outstanding!
Excellent work...
Best looking rig I have ever seen....
Absolutely gorgeous, I would be proud to wear that outfit!!
Beautiful rig, I'll be referring back to this video when I do mine. I've made a lot of holsters but western style rigs are new to me.
I enjoyed that
Thanks for watching!
Outstanding work sir. You continue to amaze and inspire.
You ladies be sure to watch to the end!
You do some fine work, I hope to get there some day.
Awesome mark my friend keep up the good work
Just beautiful , I really look forward to your vids.
Another awesome job.
Very pretty work !
Phenomenal looking rig
I’ve become addicted to watching your videos. I would like to discuss a custom build, if you would do me the honor of making something as a commissioned piece. I have a Colt SAA that would really look amazing in one of your holsters. How do I get in touch with you?
very nice work !
You are a total artist, bro!
You made that look so easy ... fantastic work 👏
I like it nice 👍 set up
Outstanding!👍👌✔
Beautiful work my man ! 💪
love your vids man
Saludos muy buen trabajo👍👍👍
Wonderful
Mexican style, beautiful. Bellissima🤩.
Armor maker here. You complain of crushed leather by the rivets. In my own leather riveting experience, the best way to avoid crusing the leather is to do it the reverse order as you do: _first_ gently mushroom the head with the little rounded hammer, _then_ whack it down to desired tighness with the flat hammer (or with the flat side of a ball-and-flat hammer). Try it.
Ps....I guess we'd all like to know....how much is a Custom Rig like that cost the client ? 🇬🇧
I guess the amount of work and quality it that apx 300 to 400
Wow!
Beautiful belt and holster! I'd like to buy one of those stamps you are using on the ammo loops, can I ask the tool number or where you got it?
wow great rig you did a great job. Can you please tell me what are those tube like punches and bent corner punches you are using are they any good and where can I get them? Thank you
Love your work and I’m looking forward to making a Hand of God using your video as guidance. Question though. Where did you get your corner and oblong punches from?
Thanks! I get a lot of those specialty tools from Amazon. I've had the best luck with the "Wuta" and "Owden" brands
Top 😊
What an amazing rig!!!
What size are the pronged 2:01 domes used on this rig?
Thanks! The large nickel spots are 3/4" and 1/2"
That's a beautiful rig just like everything else u do and your videos are awesome. I was wondering where u got the set of tools u cut the corners of the belt and the tongue slot with? Thanks
Thanks! You can find them cheap on Amazon. Just look up "leather corner cutters". There's several variations.
Top sleep
Thanks for watching!
It's so nice do you sell them ?
Очень красивая работа
I love your work and enjoy your videos. could you share what weight leather you use for the belt and liner ?
belt is 9 oz veg-tan. liner is 2-3 oz milled veg-tan
So have you used this much in the dropped down position? I’ve got one here I did years ago that I’ve always wanted a little drop on. I was wondering how well that worked out?
Love it, nice job!
Where did you get that safety ruler? The one I have is really cheap and I don't like it, but cannot find any ones that look better than what I already have...
Amazon. I don't remember exactly which one is was though. There's a few on there.
buenas tardes, estoy en Uruguay, ¿ hay alguna forma de poder conseguir un molde para hacer una pistolera?.... y cual sería esa forma?... muchas gracias.
Do you have a website where you sell your leather gun belts and holsters?
Do you have a pattern to download / sell for this belt ?
Hi. No, I just kinda made this one off-the-cuff.
Can I ask what thickness your leather is? I absolutely love your work ❤️!
I typically use 8-9 oz for the outer shell. The liner is 2-3 oz milled veg-tan
Q belleza quiero una
great work! how much can you sell that belt for?
brother you are working hard but you have to make your video short, you will get good results.
How wide is the main belt? 2.5 or 3"?
Thanks for watching! I actually don't have this one anymore. But 3" sounds about right.
What is the weight of the leather you used for the belt and the liner?
The belt is 9 oz. veg-tan. The liner is around 2-3 oz milled veg-tan.
Went to Etsy, not there yet...or already gone?
won't be up for about a week or so. Need it for a photoshoot
@@RoadAgentLeather 👍
What size spots are you using :)
a mix of 3/4", 1/2", and 3/8"
Where did you get that small ball peen hammer ??
Ricky from IBM
I believe that came from Harbor Freight
@@RoadAgentLeather thank you !! Enjoy your videos very much !!
