I' 'm glad you said it, my point was exactly the same disable the apps or services which you have rarely or not at all using, in my case when it comes to gaming my first choice is a console because I liked playing in big screen and in the comfort of my couch, so steam is a thing that I'm rarely using. And about Spotify, I not addicted to music or not a huge fan and if I feel like listen to music, definitely mainstream music isn't a choice of mine. and that's why I disabled them, yet I respect your choice, so if you feel like to keep them, it's your choice, I'm sure there are other unwanted or rarely using programs in most of our computers which are using our valuable system resources. Your graphics settings aren't the same between the 2 tests. In your initial test godrays were set to high. In the 2nd test it was set to low. Ambient occlusions settings also aren't the same 🧐
vsync makes the fps go with the monitor refresh rate so it can be more stable if your fps is bad turn on vsync, if your fps is over 60 fps, i recommend turning it off if you want more fps
For better games performance I advice a good game video setting.You can normally decrease the shadow resolution for better performance.In graphic card (GForce) settings you can disable the anti aliasing (antialiasing round the edges) and anisotropic (anisotropic makes far distances look cleaner) settings too for better performance.
