    Hi Crystal, I hope you’re doing well!!! I just want to tell you I’m loving working on this one. As I said before, I’ve always designed my own stuff just watching my mom who was amazing! The only thing she showed me at age 7 was the chain stitch and double crochet. I made kitchen curtains then and fell in love with crocheting. You are the only one I have ever followed or ever loved ingenuity along with true talent. Be well and continue your beautiful work❤

    I just had to come on here and say this, I haven’t even watched this video yet (I’m about to) and I honestly have to say that this sweater is just absolutely amazing. Crystal you truly are a very talented, sweet, lovely, and such a caring lady. I have watched you for about 3 years now and your videos have made me so happy. I have made at least 5 dresses from your tutorials for my daughter, your tutorials are just amazing. So easy to understand and you are so patient with everything. Gosh. I just can’t even begin to put into words how truly amazing you are in my eyes. I hope you continue making these videos because I truly really love them!

    It's like you read my mind. As I was watching your video I am thinking to yourself that I don't have enough of a 5 or 6 weight yarn. I have 4 weight wool and have been looking for something to make and right away I see you made notes in the comments for the 4 weight yarn. THANK YOU!!!

    A tapered sweater to show off my daughters beautiful figure. Ty crystal esp for modeling it. Helps me decide whether to invest in time and yarn when you model your wearables

    I just finished this, my first wearable!
    And when I say finished I mean almost finished because my daughter couldn’t wait for me to do the single crochet border. She loved it!!!

    Would you consider doing a sweater with the 70's style bell bottom sleeves? The sleeve starts to flare at the elbow? I would love to see how one would be made. Thank you in advance if you are able. Great designer!! Cute crocheter!!! Adorable family!!! Great bunch of pets!!! I guess I was hoping flattery would get me everywhere! lolol

      I was thinking the same thing, I love those! Wondering if maybe you change to a larger hook toward the bottom to get that look?

    • @Melissa-rh3ro
      @Melissa-rh3ro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Or maybe a gradual increase. Like adding an extra cluster (3dc, ch1, 3dc) at the seam every 2 or 3 rows after the elbow. The ch1 just to separate the two clusters. And then I'd add a shell border of some kind to the end of the sleeve. I've found a funny increase or decrease at the seam of a sleeve will be hidden pretty well.

    I have to say, I've been a subscriber for years and have enjoyed watching you. I haven't been here alot lately (been doing more quilting then crocheting) and I'm thrilled at your growth. Both on the channel and as a person. You used to be very modest in your appearance and I loved seeing you model this sweater! That's modesty, if you call it that, still shows in the nervous way you talk about body measurements. You look fabulous! Don't listen to haters, they will always be there. Keep doing the great work and becoming more confident. It looks great on you!

    Hi Crystal. I am in Louisiana. When Zeta just came through we lost power and internet for 5 days. I watched this tutorial beforehand and got a start on this project. My intent was going to be to use One of my Anniversary cakes (cookie parade) for this, so I was happy when you said it would be a good choice. It is. I finished it in no time and I love it. It fits perfect and was super easy to do. What I did not expect in my silence was how much I appreciate what you do for me, for all of us. I have created so many of your projects and I love them all. I spend most of my time with my fur babies and although I am in a relationship I spend most of my time alone. Your voice is a comfort. Your patience is golden. Your compassion is priceless. I had no idea how much I appreciated you until it was not an option. I appreciate you and the good work you do. Thank you From the top of my heart. Thank you.

    Love it! It looks great on you. I know you don't wear this type of garment. I agree with you, you should wear what you are comfortable wearing. However, that doesn't change the fact that the sweater looks great on you. I'm adding it to the list of things to make. I know I say that a lot because you are an amazing designer and I love your designs.

    Just finished this last night!!! I used LB Jeans in Stovepipe (black with some white specks) and made it into a dress. I'm not as fashionably thin as Crystal (lol), so I did a straighter version and used a smaller hook the last few rows so it wouldn't have a bell effect for the bottom of the dress, but would be straighter. It is gorgeous!!! Thinking of making the granny square sweater next... so fun!!!

    Thanks for putting weight 4 chain count. I have bulky 5, but I started a similiar sweater yesterday and the stitch count for the torso is way to small. I want a nice tight stitch, not a stretched, mesh luke stitch. Youre the best! Even though Ive been crocheting almost half a century, I always learn new,intestesting things from you!
