I took this new and improved budget crawler, the 2023 FTX Mauler 2.0 over to Beacon Fell country park a few days back to see if the updated electrics made an improvement over it’s predecessor. Why not join me and find out? Its also a pretty nice place to be 😉 take care and have a great weekend

Good overview Andy . I’ve always fancied this car . Quite a good base . I’d probably try and speed it up and turn it into a rock racer maybe 👍

How do, it’s a nice relaxed bit of fun Richard , you need to try it ;) you could lock all the diffs in your cc02 for a bit of light crawler work or trail driving ;)

They should be putting a 20kg servo on it.

They could of done that but it’s probably to keep the cost lower, better than 9kg though

The only way to adjust the drag brake on the Atlas is to install a HW 1080, which is what I did.

Yeah that’s very true , I keep meaning to fit a 1080 to my atlas, never get round to it. Out the box you can’t alter it though which is why i mentioned it in the video, cheers :)

You could do , but I must admit a 5000nah 7.2v last for ages as well

Yeah it’s a shame their not making it over the pond, although RGT use a lot of ftx designs/ shared platforms
