It's a known and widely used tactic in the korean entertainment industry

Really glad to see TXT doing more anime openings! They did a great job with BC's, and this opening is also amazing.
The anime producers love txt i think, they do have very fitting voices for openings and osts
If anything, this opening feels more 'nostalgic' than ever. And not just because of the show returning after five years, but also the emotions emitted from a past looked back upon in-universe. Except this 'nostalgia' is a very 'present' thing. -Excuse my bullshit.-
It seems some of the hype from earlier openings has been translated into a different, but just as satisfying type of serotonin. I certainly gained large doses of the hormone during the pre-chorus. So good. Especially liked the Chika cube scene, as well as the Miwa/Fuujin transition. Those green ribbons always look great, even in the backdrop. This is a huge improvement!
Big thanks to Omori Motoki, TxT, and the staff at Toei Animation for making this reality possible. (As well as many, many others.) I first got into the series with my older brother when the high school's anime club stopped streaming the series, later diving headfirst into the manga by Ashihara Daisuke. It has been a non-stop treat. Thank you for the support, TxT fans...! I've listened to some of their stuff before; it's fairly nice. I hope this will be a better journey ahead.~

True. The show is very conscious a long time has passed. And that "season 1" it didn't even had a "closure-alike" finale. So what in other anime would feel as cheap or lazy here becomes its strength: Showing important points in the series for even the anime-only fans to catch up with current events (I'm sure most anime-only enthusiastic won't remember a lot from it, though xD. But I did.)
The OP feels quiet, fresh and dynamic enough while maintaining the "calm" atmosphere it wants to convey: They are saying "let's continue from where we left". Since this isn't the beginning of a new arc or a mayor event, it doesn't need a "burning passionate" theme with strong/noisy instruments so the chill electronics fits the purpose really well along the band.
Also the last 3-4 silhouettes at the beginning belong to Katori team (featured today) and I suppose the other two are the B-ranks going to the rescue mission or Tamakoma-2's next opponents after Katori team. The last silhoutte is Tamakoma-2, of course, cleaning their images and being at the center between Hyuse and Jin. Not very subtle about that xD.
@@667Kero Definitely. There may not be explicit 'hype' you may find in other shounen battle genres, but there is adrenaline for what is to come.
As for the rescue mission speculation, that was outlined by Shinoda earlier in the series that if a squad could make B Rank 1 or 2, then they will have a better chance at making the away team. My memory is a bit foggy, admittedly. So that depends on the rank war outcomes, as well as any individual picks from the higher-ups. As for your other inquiry... I'll leave it you. :)
Tamakoma being between Hyuse and Jin... Both are whipped up in the team's affairs, one way or another. Tamakoma kinda serves as the unifier between the two.

I just think the author is a str8 up god at balancing so many characters but still establish a connection to the audience. For crying out loud they don't even show the main characters until ep 4 in the 2nd season

Oh, I’m happy TXT is now much more popular in Japan because of World Trigger and I hope they keep making music for anime OPs/OSTs, seeing that they’re very good at it and they can make a name for themselves in the industry by multitasking. Like, they’re always busy, with their comebacks, their dance practices, variety shows, a lot of performances and now also making OPs. I’m sure their hard work will be rewarded :))

I still remember when my sister suggested i watch world trigger and i was like no lol, but when i started it i fell in love with it and i have been waiting for season two ever since season 1 ended, i even tried drawing fanarts and got a lot better at drawing since then, this anime is a true gem among the other anime, i wish the author had social media where i can send him my drawings and appreciation

Wow World Trigger really doesn’t miss the mark with their openings. I’m so glad I found this series 2 months ago instead of when it first came out because I would’ve had to wait 5 years for a season 2. It was a very interesting design choice to reanimate the aftokraftor (pretty sure I butchered the spelling) invasion scenes but I don’t really mind because they look REALLY good. And the music is absolutely amazing as well. Too bad world trigger only releases an opening every 24 episodes as they’re always very good.

It's actually one of the top 10 most expected animes for 2021 in Japan, sadly, it's true that it's not well known globally..
Let's hope this time it can be a little more recognized, the story is extremely good and battles are well planned with a lot of tought on the movements, it's an anime that deserves some shine in my opinion.

Finally an OP that's good enough for the source material. I'm glad there are smaller seasons going forward so they are allowed to go a little more wild with the animation. The first season is at best OK but the manga readers were pretty bummed it rarely captured the essence that makes the manga extremely addicting (but they DEFINITELY had good moments in S1 but it's hard to recommend because of the daunting season length).
I say NEW PEOPLE: read the manga up to chapter 127 and hang with us. In the US the Jump App is 2 bucks a month let's goooo

The Black Clover one was too "quiet/slow/devoid of the traditional strength" for the action-packed and more fast paced action scenes in the visuals. It felt like saying a poem during a fight scene. During Asta's flexing it was fitting, though.

Love the opening. Love the animation. Its interesting that its a better drawn version of season 1's invasion arc. However, I feel like it emphasizes the action rather than the strategies and political nuances of World Trigger which was what attracted me in the first place. Rather than showing the scene of Osamu throwing Replica after getting pierced, it would've been cool to see Osamu move up his glasses and set spider.

Yea I get you, I just feel the opening is basically for nostalgic but also to have the studio say to us, "Hey, back then we didn't have enough funds to have great quality, look what we can do now" and its great to see how the animation and quality has changed which is pretty cool tbh

This is a really good song. Better then everlasting shine for me. The only thing is I expect a darker song for shonen anime but I have not watched the show so I don't know if it fits. But is still an amazing song and ost. Like it is really good. Definitely worthy to be a opening song for me.
This series isnt dark at all, at least not yet. As a shounen its just very action packed, so imo this song is perfect. Its very upbeat.

World trigger is really good. Only reason it lost its popularity is due to the hiatus manga Creator took because of a dangerous injury. It is popular back in the time and was even in the top 10s sold manga idk for what year. Season 1 for the anime has around 70 episode with a filler in the middle(which you can skip).
World trigger doesn't follow that genetic character pushing themselves until they lose single drop of their blood and win somehow. This series focus on strategy and if you get hit you will lose Trion and get transported and not able to fight immediately.

i just realized something about this opening
the first season was 6-7 years ago so to avoid using a recap episode or wasting half of the first episode with flashbacks of the characters about the story so far to refresh old fans about what happened years ago
they included all the important stuff of the first season on this opening to go back to where it left last time asap

Yes, and in general World Trigger couldn't have had a much better second season. Very good decisions were made. One of the rare cases where a sequel to a series from years ago is that well done.

the first few episodes are going to be boring, but it will be worth in the long run
It's honestly fair to compare it to modern one-piece. The filler every once and a while is extremely annoying BUT pretty much every character has their role and is memorable even though the character design isn't super vibrant.

So I just finished binge watching World Trigger Season 1 last week, so now I'm watching Season 2. I know there was a 5 year gap between Season 1 and 2 but I appreciate that this opening serves as a recap of Season 1, and then Season 2 just jumps into the action without any flashbacks haha. I'm super excited to continue this amazing show. I wish I had heard about it sooner!!
