We bought XL6 manual top variant in 2020 . For 12 lakh . And i loved this car . The best thing is i have few cousin who are above 6ft and they loved the space in the middle row .
Me watching this video on the delivery day of my Kia carens 1.4 dct (prestige plus). Now I'm assured that carens engine in way better in terms of performance 😌.
I own the XL6 2020 Zeta AT model. It has been the most practical car. We did accidental off roading thanks to Google maps but with full five passengers and luggage, the car performed exceptionally well. The manual gears came in handy. Even the terrain could be negotiated well.
Good bit: 6 Speed AT and 360 camera. Maruti is putting all the efforts to resurrect the XL6 post Carens taking it’s share in the market. Good to see such competition

Finally finally maruti provided with a 6speed torque converter by replacing the old school 4 speed torque converter on both ertiga as well as the " XL6" . Although maruti has put new feature in their cars but they have to make some more improvements for the today's customers.
So for whatever reason I had to drive around a lot in the last 3 months. I've been making regular bookings from Zoomcar for every weekend. Of all the vehicles I stress tested across different roads and terrains, I must say I fell in love with the overall look, feel and features of the Automatic XL6 top end variant. Yes. Expensive. But god damn does it tick off all the boxes. And no other brand or car will compare at this price point even though its costlier than it once was. Period. I was aching for a THAR before this. Now? I'm not so sure anymore. The whole vehicle feels premium and looks the part. Luggage space, seat comfort, pedals ease of use, automatic shifts are good, overdrive works as expected, so does cruise control, precise and light steering, spacious as hell cabin, huge windows and windshield, excellent AC and ventilated seats, perfect creep function, and above all else the UNHOLY beautiful sound system had our entire family just enjoying the long rides we did. 500km plus and people were happily sleeping away in the car. Why? Because apart from all of these features and creature comforts you don't realize you ever needed, this car has an exceptional suspension. Eats bumps and breakers for breakfast as long as you know how to temper your speeds. Even off-road it did the job well. I for one, am impressed. Can't wait to see what enhancements they make to this one down the line.
This should have topped at 15 lacs for the Alpha + , at 17 lacs it’s competing with the Creta , Seltos top variant (1.5) which offers more features , also base models of Hector + & Harrier
The xl6 is a pretty reliable choice even though it is expensive on the higher end. But I am waiting for the next generation scorpio from mahindra with a petrol manual as it may be in similar price bracket.

Why the hell dualjet if they have turned down the power atleast it's should have offered 10 more horses to 115hp and 144 nm . That would have made it more desirable to put in the money , they done good with exterior and interior cosmetic parts and also the bigger wheel gives it much better stance than the old one , but..big but. 😭..the engine shud have been tuned to 115 bhp atleast.
Most people buy XL6 to move with family. I don't think anyone want high powered engine which also drains fuel more often and ends up less mileage. Enthusiast are very less in auto sector in India. Majority prefer practical and fuel efficient cars.

Kia carens AT priced 21.1 lakhs.. If you compare 17 lakhs AT Version of Xl6..how it's vfm? Some people might prefer mileage and service options over sunroof..Kia is available only in cities..

Im the owner of Kia carens prestige plus. One of the worst. While in Kia is Carens there is a huge lag when 7people sit in car n the car does not move in hill areas and much problem in pickup and engine side
IMT is good choice for fun to drive. And tied less. both AMT and manual dono ka maja le sakte ho AMT - lazy drive. Utna maja nahi aayega. Manual- older generation technology but it's ok. IMT - latest technology clutch less.and shifting gears by manual I prefer it..to go IMT. 😍 Technology ke saath update hona chahiye....
I was hoping this new 1.5l dualjet would be more enthusiastic and punchier like OG 1.2 k-series but alas, it isn't. Honda's 1.5 vtec and Ford's 1.5 dragon are still the best NA engines in this segments. Suzuki should ditch their NA lineup and work on turbo engines.
Turbo engine doesn't have reliability Na engines alone have reliability and low cost maintenance Maruti meant for reliability if it comes with turbo then reliability will say bye bye, service cost will also increase and also city drivability will become poor and cost of the car even get increased with poor milege and reliability. U guys telling to change Maruti's USP because of Maruti engines are na many go for it. y u need that money drawing turbo with high maintenance, low mileage and less reliable engine? Performance is definitely better in the Kia Carens but the XL6 is better VFM
