- In Genesis 20, Abraham gives his wife Sarah away, the second time we read about this type of action by Abraham in the book of Genesis. In this sermon, Pastor Mark teaches that, as Abraham continues to make a mess of his life, acting in fear rather than faith, God is faithful as He continues to save His people from themselves.

Don't care what anyone says about Pastor Driscoll. He's a great preacher / teacher, so you need to pull the plank out of your own eyes. I've learned so much truth from you sir. Love you Pastor Mark
Say what you like about Mark Driscoll, and a lot has been said, this is an excellent message. He has always been a gifted communicator, but I think there is a maturity, gentleness and humility here that he didn't have before. Praise God.

If your goal in life is to NOT be the subservient property of a man, please save yourself and find a pastor who is not a complete charlatan.

This message reached me where I'm at. I've lived for 33 yrs with a husband who operates out of a Spirit of Fear that's become altruistic narcissism. He's fearful so he attempts to control everything and everyone. He does not know the Lord and continues to reject Him. I have separated from him, but still love him. I pray for him, but I have to keep looking up, NOT getting distracted by someone who demands all my attention to make himself feel better. Pastor Marks sermons have been so refreshing- he brings these Bible people to life in all their messy humanity and sin. Faithfulness is always the key in these stories, isn't it? The Faithfulness of God to His Children who continue to look at Him for guidance; knowing that God Has us, and will work , even through horrible, seemingly impossible situations caused by our fearful choices. That's what I got from his message. I'm so thankful we can listen to Biblical truths brought by real " prophets" of God, like Pastor Driscoll.

I do understand this because my spouse demands my attention all the time. Even over my when my kids need me or my grandkids want to just see there Nana spend time with her. He is jealous of them because of the unhealthy dysfunction he has with his family and kids. He is an angry and hateful man. I have mentally checked out of our marriage and have started counseling. My heavenly father does not condone this behavior on his daughter. For I am a CHILD OF GOD.
This is exactly my story. Fear of loosing his wealth not me. No love at all. It's all about him. My Lord Jesus is my heavenly Husband and I trust in His grace and provision. 🙏🙌 keep on preaching the truth Pastor .❤

@rgold9329 awesome! So during your fasting does God reveal things that are around you or company you keep or habits you have that are not in aline with his will? I have had those things revealed and it showed me alot of idolatry to people please.. to over stay and over do for others and then be left with the debt or heartache of trying to over help when they are not helping as much.

God gave people the Holy Spirit in OT times as he saw fit. The Holy Spirit has always been, just like Christ😊
