  • In this special Father's Day sermon, Pastor Mark preaches from Genesis 25 on the ways that descendants of Abraham both continued the race, carrying the baton of following Jesus and leading their families to follow Jesus, and dropped the baton, leading to future generations of tumultuous turmoil. In the end, he concludes that dads can make a difference, for good or bad, for generations.

this is an allegory for the good and pain body in each human (two within us...awaiting awakening!) Who lives? The One You feed!! This is a basic, literal understanding. We can dive deeper into archetype and symbol for the soul to understand how this is a universal story for us to contemplate deeply in our mind of Christ

with all the violence in the world we want to befriend our Muslim neighbors and see with our single eye that their faith is very beautiful. There is only one God and pentecost shows us how to connect in the spirit to anyone from anywhere in a mutual co-arising. Please love and respect and choose the path of honoring 'those outside the fold"

God promised Abraham that he would bear a child with Sarah, not the sin that was caused by Sarah. Then, Abraham went along with it.

    God bless you Drew.
I’m gonna share just a little bit. I don’t want to give the impression that I want to make this about me. And I don’t want to talk directly to Drew, but rather to the people who may have heard his testimony and might have felt a little uncomfortable.
I shared my testimony in the Sunday school class about six months ago. Like Drews, it was dark. It was filled with depression and substance abuse, and a lifetime of poor decision making. I could feel the discomfort in the room. There was only one person afterward , who spoke to me and said that he could relate in some degree. We were both separated, Veterans. The next Sunday where someone was to share their testimony the well-meaning, but oft clueless class leader talked about not airing your dirty laundry.
If someone’s testimony is dark and makes you uncomfortable, understand that their sharing isn’t about you. It isn’t even as much about the person sharing as it is about finding someone relatable. And if it IS about the sharer, it’s about his/her continued attempt to heal. Listen. Just shut your mouth and listen. And when they’re done, don’t crap on it. Then thank God that your walk has been easier.
Love you Drew. Even though I don’t know you. You’re freakin killing it.

I mean the way you talk about Ishmeal as if he was a mistake when god allowed hagar to even be able to birth him and even when he was on the verge of dying it is said that God here’s the boy cry and allowed him to live and even blessed a nation out of him
