Do you rest the fish in the net still hooked ? I always unhook the fish soon as I can just wondered the reason for leaving it hooked ?

I’m currently fishing a lake no more than 4ft deep at best of times, gin clear water and large stones on deck...I caught by being supper quite when setting traps and being supper aware of your line.
absolutely the key in this instance too. I screwed it up on the first night. Managed to bring it back though!
So impressed with your angling skills Mr. Charrington. From wading out to free a fish and also to get your baits in position, but also the little nuances like when you were holding the fish you cradled it and every time you picked it back up, your fingers went back to the pectoral fin position to support the fish. I was so impressed by that and so much more. Great video, keep them coming please. You're proper carpy!

@@fox_international To be honest I just thought he was Mark's stooge as well as being a good angler, but I didn't think he was that good :)
Jon Markall haha 😂 lots think that about Harry. But he does have a bit of a track record. World Champion with Team England in 2015, UK Champion and Carp Angler Of the year 2014. And currently ranked in the top 10 in the world individually for competition carp fishing. So he knows a thing or two!
@@fox_international yeah I knew he was world champion. I guess it was the fact that he always seems to be the cameraman and is Mark's sidekick. But as a stand alone fishing session, on his own, I found his approach and skill remarkable. I honestly didnt expect that. There's a lot of fishing videos on TH-cam that are much of the same, apart from Mark's of course, but this one really impressed and educated me. Top angling.

Good watch lovely fish, is it a private lake or have yous just got the lake to yourself as no other anglers on, must be nice to just keep moving on fish cos most places ya cannot do that cos always full pegs
The lake was a Syndicate, there were two other anglers fishing 👍

The first edge I can offer is to get to the lake early enough to set up properly.

Wandered why your not using a helicopter set up with your hinge stiff with the top need pushed up so link can settle on top of any weed?
Harry prefers the presentation provided by the Camotex Soft, which has a tendency to tangle on a helicopter where a stiffer hooklink is preferable. A helicopter with the bead pushed up would have also worked in this situation but the most important thing is you cast out something you have confidence in.

Hi Fox. Excellent and entertaining video as always! When Harry's explaining the rig at 31:05, why does the loop need to be so large? If it's just for attaching the hooklink to the lead clip then the loop can be really small, so I was wondering if this large one gives any other benefits?
Hi Chris, two reasons, it makes getting the anti tangle sleeve on easier as it doesn’t have to pass over the knot and it makes that part of the material slightly stiffer. This means it acts as almost an extension of the anti tangle sleeve and will help reduce tangles and kick the rig away. Obviously he is using Camotex Soft so it is more likely to tangle

As someone coming back into the sport I love the tone of your videos. Not overly complex and very well explained. There's a tendency to make things more fiddly than you need to be on some channels but Fox have it spot on.
