Hi thought I’d do a video of some of the photos of my rebuild of my 2010 Audi A4 avant 3.0 tdi Quattro .
On top of rebuilding the car i am doing a complete facelift conversion from b8 to b8.5 let me know if you like the video as I also rebuild cars of copart which I’ve been doing since late 2018 and can make videos of them and the 3 other projects I have thanks for watching Nathan
Stunning work 100%
Thank you Eslam
Hey bro, it turned out really nice. I have a b8 2011 and want to change the headlights to the b8.5 model. Do you know what do I have to change except the lights?
Just found your channel very impressed cracking rebuild 👍
Hi can the same crash bar be used from the b8 with the b8.5 conversion? Thanks
I’m doing this to my 2008 Audi A6 3.0t on Monday just happend to me wish me luck
Super impressive sir.
REVlogue thank you 👍🏻
Great job 😃👍
Great video. Question, when you fit the new headlights, did you need modules? Or did they come with the lights
Do the lot matt black front looks sick
Good job
Hey bro where can i buy transmission for my audi ?
I am just about to start a very similar project, I don't suppose you have a list of parts you needed?
f4zetw0 hi the parts needed to convert to b8.5 are bonnet , wings , bumper and grills , complete crash bar , headlights and fog lights , headlight bracket top&bottom , radiator top cover , under tray , front arch liners and coding needs to be done for headlights with vcds
Great job. I think you also need to change the mirrors to the fl version.
istillplaywithcars I’m currently looking for some power folding fl mirrors
Hi. I have a question. Did you replace the airbag crash sensors behind the front bumper? Doing the same with my A5 coupe. All the same airbags deployed. Do I only need new airbags or do I need the crash sensors & airbag module too?
Thanks in advance.
Hi h.d I changed the drivers side crash sensor and the air bag module will reset and clear with diagnostics
@@NathanHiley thanks👌
What colour are you gonna spray her I have a b8 in white but think black is better .... also will the b8.5 headlights go straight onto a b8
Hi the car is finally painted now I’ve just gotta post a video and yes b8.5 lights go straight on you just need top and lower headlight bracket and coding
Nice Job Dude!!
Do you have a Partslist? Front Bumper, Fog Parts??
How much did the facelift cost you ?
Hi mate , thinking doing the same to my b8 but not sure if wings and bonnet are same on b8 and b8.5
Hi Jason unfortunately the b8.5 wings and bonnet are different to the b8 to do the conversion you will need , wings, bonnet , bumper , headlights with top and bottom headlight brackets , b8.5 crash bar , top plastic radiator cover , arch liners . Hope this helps if you need any more info just ask thanks Nathan
Will be mint !!
Lovely is it stage 2 yet
Nice job well done! Are you going to do rear lights too?
Thanks Tom and yes I am i already have the inner rear lights just looking for a decent pair of outers
where buy all your engine stuff from
Radiator, condenser and the gates kit for alternator belt , pulleys and water pump was from autodoc which they have a website and app and comes directly from Germany
@NathanHiley you did a nice job how long did it take you
Question, how and what did you do for the faceliifted lights to not only fit but work?
Hi Mathew as my car already had xenon headlights . The facelift headlights just plugged into original wiring no adapters needed for fronts and just coding which all that is required is to adjust the drl brightness to anything above 37% I’m sure I did 50% brightness and all working spot on with no issues btw if you don’t have access to vcds I’m sure you can adjust the brightness on carista
@@NathanHiley hi, the type of light wasnt the issue, my question relates to the shape of the lights since the original were completely different. so how did you deal with that. was there a bracket you had to change, aswell as cabling? or because its xenon it was just plug in.
@@Mathewmartialart you would need to do a complete facelift conversion which is including wings bonnet bumper , arch liners , top radiator plastic cover , upper and lower headlight brackets . Front panel is the same on b8 and facelift or if you just want the facelift style headlights this will be your cheapest option eBay number 400893525573
Muy buenas e echo conversion ygual que tu y cuando pongo etermitencia se me apaga la diurna y al prender el xenón tanbien se me paga diurna me puedes decir que hiciste tu muchas gracias de ante mano...
I’ve used Google translate to read your message did you car originally have xenon headlights ?
@@NathanHiley si traía ya xenón y diurna e leído que ay que meter vagcom y configurar las luces es lo normal?
If your b8 had xenon headlights with led day time running lights and you have done b8.5 conversion to b8.5 xenon headlights all you need to do is adjust the DRL ( daytime running light) brightness you need to change it to minimum 37% brightness I changed mine to 50% and job done no error codes working as they should the car has been on the road now for 2 years
Vcds
Adjust LED brightness

Hahaha thank you Edwin here’s a video from November of my car m.th-cam.com/video/VMX059a4AHo/w-d-xo.html
Hi mate, can the b8 front panel be used to go to b8.5 ? Or do you need to change it
Hi mate the b8 front panel is the same as the b8.5 you just need the b8.5 top and bottom head light brackets
@@NathanHiley thanks for quick reply mate been thinking about doing the conversion on my b8 Avant for ages seeing how good yours looks😃 has inspired me going to slowly collect the parts needed
Fantastic work, do you have an Instagram account for your car?
How did you do the coding for the headlights?
Hi hector if you already have xenon headlights the facelift lights have the same plug and all you need to do is change the brightness of the front day time running lights to 37% or higher and headlights will work with out any issues and No fault codes hope this helps you
Nathan Hiley thanks!
hi. how much did u buy it back for? when i crashed my car they wanted to sell it back to me for 25% of its pay out value which wasnt worth it in my opinion
Hi Colin I got paid out for the car £6862 and I bought it back for £1881
@@NathanHiley hi. thanks for the reply. how much did you car cost you at the end including car, parts, labour etc? only asking bc i'm still wondering if it would have been worth it at the end for me.
Did you use genuine panels or aftermarket and if so how did they fit mate
Hi Paul all brand new genuine audi
@@NathanHiley ah, genuine headlights too? Mines has had a dig at the front at some point and been repaired on the cheap tho theres no structural damage. Would need new headlights bonnet and wings etc anyway so trying to see if there would be much difference in price for a facelift front. Was it expensive all in?
Have you an Instagram or anything I could message you on to ask a few questions about the facelift
