I mentioned that l was able to save $500 a month because of Christine and l thought l might explain how. I found her channel last year during emergency preparedness month and l was interested in long term food storage. I really enjoyed her content it reinforces my cooking from scratch upbringing. I am retired living on 1800.00 a month so saving $500 took a few months to master, but l did find success in the last four months and l think lve finally learned to stop wasting money, the big things use what you have. Freeze food for later little things add up like dry beans rather than canned beans. I never eat out anymore and l am losing weight, l don’t buy any drinks but milk, tea, coffee. Yes it’s hard sometimes but it feels so good to see that savings grow. I keep things in my Amazon cart, l do no spend weeks every month. If l can do it with her techniques anyone can. Thanks Christine you’re a treasure! I hope your cold goes away asap!

@@brett9778 she really was - one for the books - she passed ten years ago when she was 63 and I always wish I had more time - she was a card and her funeral was so full a lot of people had to stand at the back - that’s how many lives she touched

Bluey is the best show on tv, not just kids show, all around amazing show. My husband and I are more into it than our 3yo. Its funny and moving, i always feel better after one episode, and they are like 8 minutes long.

My husband and I schedule the spend so we have fun to look forward to but it’s paid for so there’s no stress or guilt about it. We are going to celebrate when our house mortgage breaks under $100k. No the house isn’t paid off but it’s a big win that deserves celebration.

Oh my Christine I seriously just had hand surgery and was hospitalized for 10 days. I know the PAIN!! I also had the exact type of family member in mine that just caused destruction and chaos everywhere. And don't get me started on her materialism. Oh my I could go on. I have HORRIBLE insomnia. My back is fractured at L4 and L5, and I've had my bed replaced 2xs in 3 years . Did not help and it'll be a minute before I can purchase a Helix. I know many in my life that need to be grown ups, literally sucking the life out of me. I need solutions so I 'll be watching. Thank you Christine

I hope you feel better soon! While I agree that you shouldn’t bash your spouse to other people, sometimes it is helpful to get advice from couples that have been married longer. We’ve been married 14 years, if it wasn’t for talking it out/ venting to someone else, I’m not sure where we’d be. When I talk to somebody about something going on with my spouse, I’m very careful not to name call, bash, etc. I just want the advice. Sometimes it helps come up with a compromise that works, that neither my spouse nor I have thought of. You do have to be very careful about it though.
Know your audience! For example, I learned that my mom and my best friend are the best at it rather than some of my other friends/family.

hi christine! about the dragon fruit… native floridian here who grows them, and i can assure you that vine ripened dragon fruit is amazing. the fresh fruit in the produce isle was picked while green and that’s why it tastes like disappointment! can’t speak for frozen bc i’ve never needed to purchase but i’d imagine it is picked ripe so probs way better! i’ve been watching for a long time now but this is my first comment. i enjoy your content and appreciate your hard work.

The "not complaining about the spouse" is HUGE. My first husband was diagnosed bipolar a month before our first anniversary. It was a rollercoaster. I got used to talking it out with anyone who would listen. The marriage broke down from completely different reasons, but that nasty habit stuck. My current husband is very wise and says nothing but great things about me in front of me and behind my back. We've been married 14 years and I still catch myself slipping back to that habit of complaining about his quirks. Neighbors are not therapists. If you need to talk get a therapist.

I would join anything health and fitness related that you did. Like my entire childhood I was raised to not be uncomfortable, to always take the easy route. We didn't do physical things, like not even walks after dinner or whatever. I know logically how it works but I have no idea how to implement it in my life.

I just graduated with a doctorate in nursing while working full time as a nurse and The Thing I have been telling people I'm looking forward to the most when school is done...getting a minimum of 8 hours of sleep. I'm in my 30's and I do not know what it is like to get adequate sleep.

As far as sleep goes, I do not have to wake up to an alarm and I go to bed when I'm tired. I still only sleep around 6 hours a night. I might be able to go back to sleep after I wake naturally, but not often. My brain clicks in and I'm awake. You can't make yourself sleep.

I agree. I have no desire to lie in bed for 10 hours. Occasionally I will sleep a long time but mostly 6 or 7 hours is fine. If I stay in bed much longer everything starts to hurt and I end up having a bad day the rest of the day. Not worth it to me.

Christine. Canadian grocery prices are higher. Regular Co-op is a bit higher prices but their flyers will have discounts. This week as an example their warehouse sale has 1lb ground chuck beef for 4.99. 320g lays chips are 3.29 ea. and 12 pk KD is 9.99.
And how is your school year over before June. Do they get 3 months off and go back end of Aug?

Tip #2 about being a grown up - dealing with this right now. I have no time for someone's petty immature issues that they can't let go of from years ago. See ya, bye. Stinks that it's family but oh well.

New here. Missed the livestream. I had to chime in about the Dragon Fruit 🍉. IMO it’s delicious. It’s also a great….really great natural laxative. Only takes one as a snack to help you. An added plus, I watched a highly respected Neuro scientist recently. She reported they investigated them for possible use in supplements to support the brain. Although the fruit didn’t pass for cognitive function, they found it to have huge benefits for skincare . She found a product at one of the beauty brand stores that is derived from the fruit. She uses daily for her skin care for anti-aging. Pretty powerful little fruit! 😊 She said this product is really inexpensive too. Enjoyed your channel today! Thanks ❤

Fibromyalgia can be cured with diet and exercise. My grandmother had it, my mom has it, I started having it until did a ton of research. No gluten, no dairy, no sugar and no corn. Basically keto. My fibromyalgia went away and hasn’t come back.

I love positive people. And i love cheering on other peoples sucesses that i care about. Or even strangers. People are great. Like individual humans. I am not a fan of crowds. But genuine people and their sucesses and even the broken bits they dont always aee the sucess and beauty taht si wrapped up in that. Either how their heart shines. Or their perseverance. Or humanity. Or the fact that those hard things build them and shape them and make them who they are.

I’m not sure how I feel about this advice… I have heard it from lots of people older than me. I have been married for 7 years, together 11. I think it’s important to not feel isolated when things aren’t going well. I also think that if you never tell anyone anything negative about the status of your relationship, then if things are really bad and you do need help, would you really open up? I think statistically the answer would be no, you wouldn’t.

Exactly on the grownup part! I had this happen with a friend recently. We were having a family get together with this friend invited. She had been vomiting all week long including the night before the event. She was still planning on coming after I gently tried to encourage her to stay home. I finally had to just be blunt and tell her she needed to stay home. We have 4 children I have no desire for 6 people to get the stomach flu. She has since completely distanced herself from me. But I have to be ok with that because my family comes first.
