Probably to create a certain atmosphere, or a way to immerse viewers into the story and content. We could look at an opposite example like Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It tries so hard to be a modern day game set in a fantasy world. Where as I am trying to create the feel of a "military operation" in my videos. If I used fantasy terms in this video it would probably confuse viewers, and they probably ask if I am off my meds.
