He ment showing that you can easily write some notes on the keyboard which is less technically demanding then a guitar, focus on the melody and then convert it to awsome guitar sound and vibe!

For all those that missed it here they are
1. Play a chord progression
2. Make something that sounds alright on piano
3. Combine both step 1 and 2 on guitar using the same notes
Thank you, your explanation really made it click. I'm an absolute beginner but at least I did learn what chords are, what a chord progression is, and that the white keys go together, haha, so I understood what you said.
I have a guitar and am learning the guitar but I want to buy a piano (digital) too and I'm even more convinced now.
@@essennagerry The white notes go together because both Cmaj and Amin are all thw white keys. So just make sure you emphasize one of the chords because that's your home. Also use that 5th chord.

This is actually massively helpful for me as an electronic musician/guitarist. I never really thought about riffing on a keyboard and transferring it to guitar. This is the most perfect riff btw

It sounds like there's a rhythm guitar layered on top of the melody, but it looks he's playing both parts. Very cool!
Yes indeed! He's using a technique called hybrid picking, in which you kinda play like popping on a bass, with your middle or ring finger and the guitar pick, so you can play on two strings or more at the same time

Nevershout Graham nope but ableton has synths and piano midi items already loaded. You can use others DAWs but you'd have to import your own midi pianos and synths
