- A Living Solutions branded 9" high velocity fan. Unsure of the OEM. These were sold under quite a few different names over the years. They are a knockoff of the Lakewood HV-9 and are nowhere near as good as it. The Lakewood model has a steeper, quieter blade and moves far more air. The performance of this unit is generally unimpressive for the noise. There are smaller plastic fans that move much more air.
Very fast fan ever!!!!
I jus got one from a friend, pretty good fan, were they sale them?
I actually have the same one
I have a lakewood with a shaded pole motor
OK
What model is it?
I love this type of fan simply because I found my vary first fan when I was young in a junk pile and it was a Massey brand. it worked well until it got dry bearings and dad toss it out just bought a new one at Walmart different name but it brings back good memories
Thanks for letting me know.
Good fan video I enjoyed it I can't wait to see side by side comparison between these two high velocity fans soon bro
Thanks
good video bro i have a ton of them in my collection there is only a few fan manufactures that still use this blade set today that's impress and alera and other Chinese brand names lol i enjoyed the video bro
I've seen the Impress ones you have, I think they're all pretty much the same just with different names put on. Too bad they're not as powerful as the old Lakewood HV-9 models were.
@@JordanU Exactly I wish they would use the Lakewood psc motor they use to use but China is to cheap for that Lol
Dying problems ha, good one.
I’ve seen a mainstays version of these at Walmart
Thanks
@@JordanU I have one and stopped working after only 1 year! I try put oil but nothing happens, its dead
@@johndoegta2189 Oil is a preventative, it won't fix a spoiled motor.
@@johndoegta2189 Oil doesn’t fix, it boosts the fan motor or oscillator
Would it hurt the motor if you increased the pitch of the blade, even slightly? I was gonna do it for my Mainstays to achieve more airflow, But I wasn't sure if it would hurt the motor. Thanks
You'd have to observe the power draw to make sure it doesn't exceed what the motor is rated for. It doesn't seem like a very powerful motor, I don't think you'll get much more out of it.
@@JordanU Oh Okay, Thanks for your help!
Same one is sold at biglots currently.
Thanks for letting me know.
I like it
OK
