The democratic socialism Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes is talking about, is a societal model closer to the Scandinavian countries. They are notorious for being among the happiest countries on the planet, so obviously they must be doing something right.

The (rather obscure) implication was that socialism is clearly NOT the problem, but rather US "intervention" (i.e. economic or military attacks) on countries. Countries that often have resources (like oil) the US wants to steal.

What does her District want, not what America wants. Our government is a Democratic Republic founded on the premise that there is no monolithic viewpoint, every district represents its own needs and values. And thus is intended to be fundamentally adversarial. More adversial at the higher levels, more aggreement at the local levels as it should be...Federal, State, County, City, Community, Family, Individual...interest.

Hey Emma, we chose to invest in the second avenue subway so it can alleviate the overcowding on the Lexington avenue subway (4,5,6) as it is the most overcowding subways lines in the US. If you took those 3 lines and counted as there own subway system, it would be the second largest subway system in the US.

This is a priceless interview. The guy peeing at 2:23 shows TYT shows the highest production value. Ocasio-Cortez is adorable but completely clueless. However, despite my dislike for socialism, she peeked my interest in a few spots. First housing crisis in NY. This is definitely a problem and there should be ways to resolve it that don't involve government intervention. If there is a demand for more affordable housing there should be a way to meet that demand often it is governments that get in the way of the free market.
Second issue she raised was the transit issue. I'm not sure how this could be resolved generally lots of government money gets poured into this. I recommend people lobby their government representatives and get them use the funds at their disposal in a way that meets their needs.

That is the #1 reason our gov. has a budget deficit. $21 trillion in debt & counting. I understand geopolitics and that we do require a military, but as an American i am sick of our military expenditure, and not only our expenditure in wars, but we have been subsidizing Japan, Germany & S. Korea military for 70 years now, they are our biggest parasites as a nation [add Israel to the list].
I wouldn't say we need more teachers, but as a teachers son i certainly believe we need to pay them better, and more funding to some inner city school districts, more.
