I was so hooked on "emergency" growing up then when this came along in the early 80s, I was instantly hooked on Code Red, because in the show, a young boy was allowed to be a "fireman" because he was part of a firefighting family, and I was within a few years in age to actor Danny Rich, so I fancied myself on the possibilities. Watched every single episode, then the next season when I could not find on TV anywhere, I was SOOOOOO disappointed when my Mom told me it was cancelled. Should of gone minimum 6 seasons in my book, at least till he graduated high school and finally became a full fledged firefighter.
being a firefighter, I had to laugh as to how in the first scene the fire chief pulls up right alongside the fire, barely giving the engine room to maneuver. if i was the engineer i'd be like "hey chief, can you please move, we, like need room to work here."
Considering where that house fire was in that rural area shouldn't the LA County Fire Department (the one from Emergency) have been the one to respond?
station 127 would've also responded and the paramedics of 127 would report to Harbor UCLA emergency branch. Harbor UCLA in Emergency! is named Rampart general hospital and station 127 is 51 the two real names of the places they filmed
LOL....the dialogue is just ATROCIOUS.....did ANYONE even try to direct Adam Rich???....again...lets get a little kid in the middle of a firefighting operation....did ANYONE at ABC see how ludicrous that was??
love to watch this Code Red movies. Andrew stevens and Sam jones were there. young wonderful men.
Youngderful men! I was today years-old when I thought of that.
Funny, I remember that last scene where the wedding is interrupted by the 'Code Red' alarm. Have not seen that in many years. Thanks for posting!

adam rich who played danny was a fire explorer not a fire fighter the fire explorer his duties were to learn and be some what of a crowd control
The actual episode title is "From One Little Spark" (shown at the 1 min 50 sec mark). It's Season 1 Episode 09.

The woman's father is Sheriff Epp Bridges (John Crawford) from the Walton's.
DAMN! the Columbia Pictures Television sunburst logo got cut off!
Ha! Bet I know who Andrew Stevens was singing "Alabama Girl" about.
The song at 22:20 any ideas what it's called?
I believe it's called Alabama Girl
Anyone have the episode when everyone is devastated by the death of a fellow fireman

This one looked like it was shaping up for a visit from Quincy M.E.....
Nothing like a Chief micro managing a fire! 😂

Emergency! is a million times better..... but code red does have lafd rigs...but still emergency is better!

Nope. Plus I doubt very much they would let him ride in the back of a Engine unit.
Lorne Greene was deadset against the Danny character and the casting of Adam Rich.
LAMEOOOOOO !!!!! Emergency eats this crap alive.
Hi I'm so board
