The Love Boat rarely failed to put a smile on your face. And this episode was a good example. Every episode they would include famous actors acting a drama storyline and another based on Romance. It’s no wonder this Television series lasted 10 seasons and I’m sure it still has a fan base. RIP Gavin Macleod, He appeared on some of the most Iconic TV Shows of the 50’s to 90’s.
I just can't believe Julie ( Lawren) was fired from The Love Boat for doing drugs,she didn't seem like that type I grew up watching The Love Boat in the 1980's, they don't make Family Oriented Shows like this anymore.
I don't think there's a type. Perhaps the show could have had Julie go to a rehab, and return to add some realism to the show. It could even keep the reason she had a break, as a hidden plot, neither condemming Julie, but showing how the cast/staff support her.
He said he didn't 'abandon' BJ; he knew BJ was getting good parents. If this Love Boat episode was the present time, it could have suggested BJ's two fathers would be together regularly, as in the 'My Two Dads" show.
