It is not affecting to scanning, but in printing, this may happen, Please open control panel, next open devices and printers, next select on canon printer, right click, select print preferences, click on maintain. Then, select cartridge settings, change setting to both cartridges. Finally apply, Restart printer.
Scanning colors: it is normally scan in colors but you can change it as black and white by selecting grayscale by advanced settings or properties.

Do you mean ink low message ? yellow light means ink low , you can refill it !, but this message is coming and yellow light flashing , longly press stop button until it stop , I think it will work !

This is a really good printer th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 . The reason I gave 4 stars for tech support (which I don't think this would classify as tech support) is because once you turn the printer on, it does require a little bit of start up time which may bother some who are in a hurry to quickly print something. To offset that though the printer prints very quickly. I would definitely purchase this printer again.
