Wanted to say thanks. I have a kid with a nut allergy which means when we went to harry potter world, he could buy a chocolate frog in a fancy box, but couldn't actually eat the frog. We can order other frogs that come with the card that he can eat, but he doesn't get the fancy box that way. I was able to take your template and make him boxes (without him knowing) and put the frogs with the cards in that and it really made his day.
From the original template? There's a load of us out here that would love to get access to that original template. Maybe we could share it on google docs without the big WB police finding out.
Instead of pen-colored cardboard, I used store-bought black cardboard. They are cheap and less time consuming; and if you want it to be thicker, you may do a couple (or more) of pentagons glued to one another before gluing the wizard card on the top and the back.

There's this chocolate frogs call "sapito" and there are pretty much alike the movie but I think they are only available in Latin America. Ps they are delicious.
I think if you would have scored the backside of the card stock for the top of the box- the folds would have been cleaner. An old dried up pen works really well for scoring. Cool video and thanks for sharing.

OMG, I love you! I'm looking for Christmas ideas and if I can't make these boxes or frogs in time, I can use the free templates you gave me to make Chocolate Frog card stocking stuffers! My mom and friends are HUGE HP fans so this can't fail. The funny thing is cost: making color copies is more expensive than the cardboard that I have lying around the house!

As we approach the one year anniversary of this awesome video, may I make a suggestion? Score the lines (lightly, on the underside of the printed design) before folding to get crisper, sharper, and cleaner fold lines. You can do this with a stylus, bone folder, or even the blunt point of a knitting needle and a ruler; in my case, I used a scoring board. It'll be a pain in the ass, especially if you're making a bunch, but I think it's worth it. 👌 Anyway, I love your channel!!! I've been binge watching all the videos for the past hour and a half! 😁

A trick to using chocolate molds there are 2 ways. Brushing in the chocolate layer by layer letting it freeze the other is fill the molds completely the outer edge and freeze it. The will set up at the same rate when it gets to the coating thickness you want the dump the rest to be remelted. I hope it help. I am thinking mint cream centers for mine
Now you said laser printer...do you know the specs of the paper that you're using...because i have also come across this issue and the manufacture says you can't print on it and other company's with printers have said the same.

Pretty cool! It is very accurate but I think there are some differences between this replica and the original film used prop. Examples: - Your pull tabs say „PULL UP“. The original pull tabs say „PULL ME!“. - The original foil connectes the two parts of the box and is then ripped into two pieces by the pull tab. Then you can open the box. - I think the original paper is not that much shiny. - The original box is folded a bit different. I also want to find out how to create accurate replicas so if anyone knows more about chocolate frogs or other Honeydukes sweets please let me know. : )
I really hate WB for removing all the templates! My sister in law wants a HP theme party and I my brother ask me to organize it so I was looking through old videos for ideas and those that I wanted to do are no longer available! Grr Love your work.
I've just been dipping live frogs, because using a mold is cheating. But if you use spray CO2, you can temper chocolate, and give your frogs some snap, crackle, and hop.

I really love this, it's great and so much more accurate than everything I've seen! Also, you can really see that you enjoy creating stuff and that just makes the videos even more fun to watch. I still have a little something to criticise, which is the jump cuts in the beginning. I know it can be hard, but if you could try and reduce the jump cuts it would (in my opinion) increase the video quality a whole lot and make it even nicer to watch. But nevertheless, awesome job, I'm really keen to see what's next! Also, I'd love both, either Luna Lovegood or Hermione Granger, I really can't decide between them ^^

It needs to be a laser printer. Inkjet will smear and never dry.

A great project but it would be so much easier to buy the metal tin that comes with a Chocolate Frog and 5 Hollographic Collectible Cards.
