I love that German mode, I might be moving to Berlin later this year and I never would have bothered with a scooter that was limited to 20kmh, I doubt you’ll get pulled over anyway doing 30kmh but it’s nice to know you’re fine if you do.
Updated and love it. I already got 30kph but really notice the difference with torque on hills, steep ramp near my home was seeing me down to 6kph. Now hitting 12/13 with the flasher 😊
The newer shmax preset is great. Feels like another scooter after the flash. Flies through a pretty steep 10% grade at 16mph, which is faster than some entry level scooters at top speed on flat surface. And up to 23mph on flat surface compare to 19mph before. Top speed jumps from 22 to 26mph downhill.
I just did this, using the same pre-set settings in the video, and it's totally broken my scooter. At first it wouldn't turn on for more than 1 second, before turning off again. I tried several times, and now it just beeps and flashes continuously and I can't do anything with it.
Ok I took the extra battery off, disconnected and reconnected the main one and managed to get the scooter to turn on and reset to the regular firmware. Crisis averted... or is it reverted? Anyway, fixed.

Would it affect the battery lifetime or other components? And what about warranty? If you reset the firmware to standard if something goes wrong, do you think manufacturers able to see that the firmware had been tweaked earlier?

I've got an iPhone, but was thinking to borrow my friends Android phone when doing this. Do I need the firmware (and an android) anymore in the future, if I do not intend to reset it to standard settings?

What about scooter range after this modification? I guess that energy consumption is not directly proportional to the increase of vmax and it and drastically increases... Did you make any test?
Your battery is going faster low... i have done this, when your battery is fully loaded you can reach the 29-30km/u but when your battery is going lower you can reach like max 26km/u when set it on D is just the same its going 25km/u sow and when you set it to ECO its going like 20km/u. My oppinion is just let it standard... normally on ECO it wil go 15km/u on D 20km/u and on S 25km/u after the hack its just going on ECO 20km/u on D 25km/u and on S 27-28km/u... you can’t reach the 65km range... you have fun on the beginning but then you realise that it is for nothing...
@@bunyaminsahbaz4943 I want the 30Kmh mode. I have EU 25kmh now. (G30E II) Just want it in USA mode if i want to go faster, so i can put in S mode and go 30kmh sometimes, but it will take more power then. if i do 20kmh in eco or D 25Kmh it should draw same power as it would be standard in 20-25Kmh.
There's a reason Ninebot doesn't tune their scooter to be faster and brake more powerfully to begin with. You're going to get significantly less range when you go higher top speed and you're going to wear out the motor -- especially for the more powerful braking -- with these hacks. If you're ok with having a shorter life span for your ninebot max, then go for it. Otherwise, best to stay with stock settings.
Approximately 8% less range. It's totally worth it. The reason why it's not set like that on default is just legal limits in many countries. Sharing market also doesnt need a scooter to be too fast and Max was designed for it in the first place.

I'm living in Belgium (max. 25km/h) allowed and thinking of buying the Ninebot MAX G30. My plans are to use this scooter also in Germany and Switzerland (max. 20km/h). Should I buy the Ninebot MAX G30D (german) just to be sure, or can I just re-flash whenever I change countries? Is there a way to check the serial number and get fined in Germany or Switzerland for having the standard model?

Hey guys! Could you help?! I got my pro max yesterday. I’m from uk. Changed region to US. But still only achieved 26kmh with back wheel off the ground. It was only half charged. So I’ve plugged it in. But not convinced it’s going to have done anything? Any advice from anyone would help. I’m 96kg so I really need more power/speed.
Does this work for the Ninebot max G30D aswell? Also i've heard something about "bricking" it? If this happens, could i fix it simply by updating it or is there a chance i need to go into the hardware/get it repaired?

What system are you talking about and how is it going to fry, please elaborated on that genius.....cough cough. Better yet, stop spreading wrong information! The specs of both motor and battery are certainly capable of doing that with some tweaks.....40KMH or faster!
@@jjtaylor7505 it's ok if you increase by a few km but if you do a high amount and use it frequently it might pop a fuse, it will worsen the battery quality of your scooter. I recommend only using this in moderation. I increased mine up to 35 km/h. It works fine but I only use it sometimes. 40km/h is too much for this scooter, there is a reason why the limits are set by ninebot.
Again, talking more non sense! The stock top-speed for this in the US is already ~19MPH (~35KMH) and there are no fuses in the system. It would be great if people did their research before discussing things they absolutely know nothing about. By the way, I've had less powerful motors than this one going above 40KMH with no issue. It's clear at this point you just want to argue and have the last word. Oh well.....
My friend have a Segway Ninebot ES2 L (danish model, maximum 20 km/h - firmware 1.5.1), but when we open the XiaoFlasher app, there are no "Change region" button? The "Scooter Region" in the XiaoFlasher are ES, maybe therefore it could't be changed?

Will this work on commercial Max Plus models? I'm going to be purchasing a small fleet as a business venture, but if it doesn't pan out, I'd like to be able to ditch the SIM's, flash them, and sell them to recoup my investment. If there's no way to do this, I might go with a different company for my fleet, like Okai, etc.

i dont have an andriod phone and idk if i want to do the computer method because the speed goes back to normal when its below 80% charge, are there any other ways i could do this?
Depending on how much load is on the scooter will determine the top speed. I'm quite muscular so that's added to my weight and sometimes I can only get to about 26kmh

My controller got fried so I bought a replacement which said it was genuine (but I don't think it is) XiaoFlasher connects via Bluetooth and shows it connected, but every time I press any other button, it comes up with connection error. Pls help

@@OutdoorsIQ Yeah mate I hope they legalize it too but I have been riding it everywhere so I don't think Police would give you a ticket for it if you use it sensibly. No, I didn't use the flasher I thought it would cause some damage or something to it. I'm happy with the speed increase only. I usually ride mine at Blaxland Riverside Park in Silver water it's an excellent site for it.
I agree that the speed increase is good enough. I went back to stock, but immediately missed the removal of “kick to start”. It’s so much easier to just press the throttle and go... How long do you get 30kmh on a full battery before it drops btw?
Just hacked my xioami. Very happy with the extra power and speed, but looking to upgrade to the max for the battery range. Providing a little hard to find in Europe. I'm a little reluctant to order from China. Any advice?
Is this safe to do? I am thinking about getting one since it scores high in durability. but i would have to hack it because the stock version is not powerful enough to get me up the hill where i live. (I had an es4 wich barely made it up the hill). But if this ruins it i cant buy it. Any experiences?
Tried this on mine to switch from the UK top speed to the US but nothing happened. Speed stayed the same even though the app told me the change was successful.
Thanks again for the video guys, you have won a subscriber. I just have two questions about the custom firmware : 1) Can you go back once it is flashed and especially how do you do this ? Imagine you have flashed a wrong custom firmware, that you want to change parameters or worse that your Ninebot doesn't work at all because there has been some kind of electronical error. Is just uninstall the app enough ? I guess not. 2) It seems Daddy Nord is no more availaible, I've just seen MAXed out and SHMax (and Default one of course). Which one do you recommend ? Unless you have a solution to get back Daddy ? And whatever CFW you choose, can you really improve the default speed by patching it ? will it really work and to what extent ? SHMax is the new DaddyNord - so this would be your best option :) At the top of the scooterhacking page, there's an option to create a .zip of the OG firmware
Hi wrong way I have a A3 max clone same specs as g30 , is there a way I can hack this scooter . I use the Loo app. What I mean is can I change the scooter name so it can use ninebot software

I actually wouldnt download that firmware bcs i did a couple months ago and now the scooter is not turning on...

thats completly normal, and no you cant change it without buying any parts etc.
I think is because you have the gen 1 motor, instead of gen 2

@@waterboi94 check your motor at the rear wheel, if the first number start with 6 is gen 1, if start with 9 is gen 2, you can replace the motor wheel
Gen 1 motor start decreasing top speed after 70% and gen 2 start decreasing after 10%

Noticed you're using it in completely wet weather and puddles though it's only rated IPX5, no issues on battery performance?

kamer7pl I do not agree with you bro. The distance decrease more than %20 in my case. So, it differs but min.20% less range is not a surprise.

The human factor, size and weight also play a role. The range is tested with a weight of 75 kg. Theory and practice always look different.

I need some help. So I put it on German manouver and now I can't do anything. Now I can only go 20km/h and cannot change the region or put my own SN back. What should I do?
Will this work on commercial Max Plus models? I'm going to be purchasing a small fleet as a business venture, but if it doesn't pan out, I'd like to be able to ditch the SIM's, flash them, and sell them to recoup my investment. If there's no way to do this, I might go with a different company for my fleet, like Okai, etc.

It didn’t work I wouldn’t pair to my app or phone and kept making a noise and shaking the wrench symbol on the screen , after it just turned off and when I press power button screen lights up then turns off , how do I restore back to default if it won’t connect

Hi so i have a question. If i buy the regular ninebot max that is NOT the german version, when i take it to the registration office to get my tags, will they allow it or will they say something about it? I was thinking about ordering from amazon from another country with the standard ninebot max speed of 25 kph and then getting the tags here? Is that possible?
i dont have an andriod phone and idk if i want to do the computer method because the speed goes back to normal when its below 80% charge, are there any other ways i could do this?

I successfully flashed my Ninebot max 30 but my top speed is just 26km/h (the flash says 33). What to do?
Depending on how much load is on the scooter will determine the top speed. I'm quite muscular so that's added to my weight and sometimes I can only get to about 26kmh
@@Redstrx I have the same problem. However I am only 70kg. Maxing out at 25. However, I can feel other parameters have been adapted. Also changed my serial to US, no luck
My controller got fried so I bought a replacement which said it was genuine (but I don't think it is)
XiaoFlasher connects via Bluetooth and shows it connected, but every time I press any other button, it comes up with connection error. Pls help

If you have the US version this hack won't help on top speed. You'll probably need a more powerful battery or other kinds of tweaks

@@OutdoorsIQ Hi buddy, yes mine does 30kph on the full charge but once the charge falls below%50 it would get about 28kph and I'm a big boy 100kg.
@SYDNEYSIDER SYDNEY Hope you’re loving yours too, I hope they legalise in Syd soon. Did you use Xiaoflasher and the LiesOrFax preset (DaddyNord no longer available)? I’m about 80kg but can’t max out 27-28.
@@OutdoorsIQ Yeah mate I hope they legalize it too but I have been riding it everywhere so I don't think Police would give you a ticket for it if you use it sensibly. No, I didn't use the flasher I thought it would cause some damage or something to it. I'm happy with the speed increase only. I usually ride mine at Blaxland Riverside Park in Silver water it's an excellent site for it.
I agree that the speed increase is good enough. I went back to stock, but immediately missed the removal of “kick to start”. It’s so much easier to just press the throttle and go... How long do you get 30kmh on a full battery before it drops btw?

Just hacked my xioami. Very happy with the extra power and speed, but looking to upgrade to the max for the battery range. Providing a little hard to find in Europe. I'm a little reluctant to order from China. Any advice?

Tried this on mine to switch from the UK top speed to the US but nothing happened. Speed stayed the same even though the app told me the change was successful.

I just have two questions about the custom firmware :
1) Can you go back once it is flashed and especially how do you do this ? Imagine you have flashed a wrong custom firmware, that you want to change parameters or worse that your Ninebot doesn't work at all because there has been some kind of electronical error.
Is just uninstall the app enough ? I guess not.
2) It seems Daddy Nord is no more availaible, I've just seen MAXed out and SHMax (and Default one of course). Which one do you recommend ? Unless you have a solution to get back Daddy ?
And whatever CFW you choose, can you really improve the default speed by patching it ? will it really work and to what extent ?

At the top of the scooterhacking page, there's an option to create a .zip of the OG firmware

Hi wrong way I have a A3 max clone same specs as g30 , is there a way I can hack this scooter . I use the Loo app. What I mean is can I change the scooter name so it can use ninebot software
