I rode Cannock Chase and all I got was a broken rib

Recently we took out mountain bikes to Cannock Chase to ride the Follow the Dog and Monkey trails. Find out what I thought, and why I won't be rushing back any time soon.
Cannock Chase is the perfect place for beginners to ride, or for people brand new to mountain biking to boost their confidence, but unfortunately that means if you're a bit more capable or experienced there won't be much there for you.
That doesn't mean you should stay away though. If you've got kids, friends or partners you want to introduce to the sport it's a great place to start.

Cannock is my local & I'm so grateful to live so close. It's far better than you have made it out to be, to do the Donkey & take in every black section is more than a challenge for most average riders. It's no downhill BikePark but it's not trying to be one. But tbf the more people that slate it & stay away then keep it nice & quiet for us.

I've been to Cannock Chase quite a few times, it is a bit tame and chill but some of my friends like it. Although it should probably be classed as a blue with maybe some red bits (rather than red with black bits), it's slightly harder (if thats the right word) than the red route at Swinley. (The blue at Forest of Dean is probably on par with the Cannock red).

Reclassifying the trail would solve the issue actually. If my expectations were set properly with the trail grading this video would be a lot different

The builders at Cannock need some fresh ideas I think ..mind Degla is the same .. I think there just weary of putting and good Stile cop style runs in , incase some numpty with no lid on (loads at Cannock) decides to hurt themselves then sue
