Thank you! I thought about the Votaan. I had known them as the extinct Squats, and haven't kept up in a few years and ran into them while researching for this video. I decided that since they're known as Abhuman and there are questions as to if they are evolved humans, I decided for simplicity sake to classify them as Human at this high level video. I didn't actually mention them, but that was why I left them out.
@@invisiblade5927 Yeah it's a cool picture, no doubt! What's not so cool is all the artists that had to spend time, energy, money and so on to learn the craft just for a company to use their works as training data without their consent or giving them compensation just so people can make cool pictures in a second. What if I used your channel to train an AI to write scripts and come up with video ideas, used those and I became a successful youtuber because of it? I could train it on the way you edited your videos, how you present them and I could even train it to use TTS in your voice. It couldn't have happened if you hadn't done the hard work for me already, and to top it all off-I'll never acknowledge you, thank you, pay you or even ask for your permission in the first place. That's why using AI generated art is looked down upon, some might argue that doing so as a creator yourself is somewhat hypocritical (unless you totally dig the idea of the hypothetical scenario I just described of me basically stealing your work, then fine, I can't really say anything). AI can be a useful tool and I'm not saying all AI is bad, but in this particular instance, I do think it is bad.
I understand the argument for sure. Whenever new technology comes out that automates work, it's always a large conversation. From automated factories, to all the work computers have automated in general, to power hand tools and heavy equipment. All of that has eliminated a lot of need for man power. For artwork and media creation. A human learns from watching a channel, or other media, and replicate it in a derivative way. AI makes that process faster, but ultimately it's the same idea of derivative work. Media creation has always been one of derivative work of other creators. From theater plays, to movies, paintings, and everything. I didn't hire an "artist" company/person to create this image, instead I hired a tech company (Microsoft) to create the image. Granted they have it to me for monetarily free, but that's the price they set, I didn't negotiate that. Their artwork is a derivative, and the artwork created by an artistic person would also be a derivative. Ultimately there is a large conversation the society will have over the use of AI for various things. Jobs will be lost, but jobs will be gained as well. Arguably more jobs will get created from AI, similar to how the Internet created more jobs than it removed. We just don't know how yet. A synthesized voice is a whole other AI usage that gets dicey too. Also in this case, I would have used a picture I found on Wikipedia or somewhere anyway. I wouldn't of paid to have something drawn up as this is just a video for friends that's public. Had I used a non-AI picture, it would have been from another source. I doubt I'll ever be big enough to make any money on TH-cam, and if so I don't know if I have to source each image I used in the video.
@@invisiblade5927 You answer reeks of chatGPT. Anyway, I'm not saying you should have hired an artist or paid for something, I get why GPT would think that. You can just make it yourself, a mini you've painted, or some text whatever. And royalty free pictures and artwork is a thing by the way. I'm guessing you're using copilot since it keeps bringing up Microsoft, you can use copilot for free last I checked. Your windows license is a poor argument, or even if you're paying a subscription to midjourney or whatever (however this was clearly created with dall-e), none of the money goes to the artist. Whatever, I was just trying to be helpful, but if you don't care about views and it's just for friends and family then it really doesn't matter.
Nice vid quick info and easy to follow ❤
Glad you liked it!
Great video, just started the new game and wanted some back story for the universe. Good Stuff!
Welcome aboard!
@@invisiblade5927 Thanks!

AI generated thumbnail art = Booo
The YT auto generated was bad. 😂 I like the AI style in this case, I think it turned out well.
