Amazing to watch self-discipline in action -- even with the children. They might be tired, thirsty, bored with those "long-winded grown ups!" But they don't whine, pull on Dad's shirt sleeve, wander off, or protest. They're more "adult" than many of the so-called adults outside of these communities.

Glad you shared this video content with us John. This is a very knowledgeable and hard working young man. Now we know where the mums and pumpkins are grown. One can tell from this video that he has a good heart and lives by the standards expected of him. Since he isn't allowed to have a cell phone or computer, maybe you could call him on his home phone and share some comments with him.

Interesting fellow, I have the privilege of working with the Amish in my area, I have helped set trusses and posts. I don't get on the roofs lol to old for that.This video really was good at showing the Amish way of life Like he said each group is a little different in some of their rules, but are basically the same. As usual you are using your skills to portray America as it is out in the rural areas of America. Thank you and the Amish families who allowed you to make this great film. We have an Amish produce Auction here in Indiana also. Great place to buy vegetables during the summer season . Thank you John

Well I really enjoyed ur Video Jon. And the young man nd family u video taped were very kind and respectful, accomadating. And we all have to be open to learn others way of living, worshipping and are way of Life Dont make them bad people, they just different, maybe from everyones personal thoughts. I watched the video and really enjoyed the young man his mannerism, kindness and educational really, even to the point of some explaination of the differences between them. And yes the government will make us all jump through hoops to please others that prolly dont live within the LAW THAT MAN MADE within themselves, but I guess...If Life were simplest like back in the day I think we'd all Live better. Your our brothers and sisters in Christ so Thanks for allowing US to learn a lil bit bout ur way of Life....Keep up the good work. Stay Always Blessed you nd ur family young Omish man and family.

16 hands is a big mule… if you measure his front leg from the hair of the hoof to the center of his knee every inch is a hand.. so he should measure 16”
