Thanks for doing this song. So beautiful. Not sure if you know but the guitar player , Lindsey Buckingham, was Stevie Nick's live in boyfriend for many years. They met in high school. This song was written about their relationship. She was wondering if she should leave. He wrote an angry song to her when she eventually did leave him and he was not happy. It's called go your own way. Take care

This is from "The Dance" concert -- a must-see available on DVD. Lindsey Buckingham is an amazing guitarist.

After waiting for years and years I finally got to see Fleetwood Mac in concert about a year after this performance and it was EVERYTHING!! When Stevie Nicks did her iconic spin I screamed so loud I thought I broke my larynx. lol I've seen them twice more since that first concert and they NEVER disappoint.

I met Stevie at a DVD signing in Manhattan over ten years ago! I first saw Fleetwood Mac in 1979 at Madison Square Garden, I was 15 ✌️

I grew up listening to them, so did my kids. Heard this song a million times. This year I turned 40 and my house is empty, my kids are grown. This song has never meant so much to me. It's crazy

Stevie and the guitar player Lindsay broke-up during the making of this album-Rumors. I don’t know how they were able to play it some 17 years later when I saw them live.

Stevie shared that before they had a record she was a waitress & very poor. She was working on music all night & relationships between them weren't working out. She was trying to decide if she should just forget it & go back to school. She decided it was always worth it to stay. "Landslide" is about that time when she chose to push forward. ❤🎵✌

recall the guitar work throughout and at the end of Gypsy and you were puzzled by it-thought it sounded maybe mechanical-messed with by computer or something. Now you see Lindsey Buckingham play it. His finger picking and flowing melodies. He produced FM and wrote many of their hits. He cant read music and is a self taught player. His playing is brilliant. He was, btw, Stevie Nicks boyfriend before and when they first got into FM.

I may be repeating something others have said, but anyhoo....those 2, Stevie Nicks (singer) and Lindsay Buckingham (guitar) were a couple long before they joined Fleetwood Mac. In fact, the group needed a guitarist and hired Buckingham who insisted that Nicks was a package deal. Ironic that Nicks became the most famous member of the group.
While in the group, these 2 had a messy breakup, each writing songs (that became hits) about each other and the breakup. So they sang songs (some not so nice) about each other while on stage together back in the 70s. This song, btw, is written by Nicks and is about her father not Buckingham. Nicks and Buckingham never got back together as a couple but they performed music together for several years after the breakup while with Fleetwood Mac.
The video you watched here was part of a reunion tour after the year 2000 (don't remember exact date).

Stevie Nicks wrote this song after she and the man playing guitar got divorced but they were still in the same band.

React to the lyrics. What is your interpretation of them? It's poetry. What's your opinion? I trust your input.
