My m50 manifold already had those holes with metal tapped inserts from factory. Jus had to drill a hole all the way threw and screw in some fittings

Thank you for the video. This is helpful. I don't like the self tapping for vacuum ports due to potential leaks, encourage others to find ways around it by Ting into lines for brake booster when possible. But to each their own. Something to also consider with the M54 to M50 manifold that you don't want to overlook is how you are going to block off the ICV ports from the M54 manifold. You can either use a block off plate such as Hyde Motor Works solution, or you can self tap it with screws and thread sealant. Best of luck!

Nice video wish I would have found this a month ago. I’m doing a e46 328i turbo build. I did the m50 manifold swap and put the aftermarket injector on with out the spacer not knowing it was needed. Then the genius that I am start removing the injectors without taking the manifold back of from the block. In then I was able to fish out the plastic o ring that holds the o ring in place on the injector.

Great video, I have the spacers and the same bosche injectors but had no idea how to make it work. Thanks for the info.

anything that reduces the rats nest under the intake manifold is good in my book!
