Hello friends, today I want to show you a unique machine made with a brushless electric motor. How to make a bench grinder and how to attach the grinding stone to the electric motor. It is very good that this electric motor from a washing machine can be started at 2 speeds. Slow (washing) and Fast (spinning). The slow speed is very good for sharpening the blade of an ax and other tools. The fast one is very suitable for grinding various metal elements. Thank you for watching, don't forget to subscribe to my channel.

How do you stop the motor from over heating, it has no ventilation? good project though!

Very nice but motor gonna overheat no ventilation. Safety is a good thing but you don't need all that plate over the motor and grinding stone. Safety helmet are sufficient. A bench grinder stone must be open to get maximum space to work on it, otherwise a nice video.

Grinding wheels usually have a Max rotational speed of 3500 rpm. Washing machine motors can frequently exceed this comfortably. If you are standing in line with the stone when it explodes it will kill you. Calculate your gearing carefully. Not far away from where I live died a man who did not heed this!!! Stay safe and enjoy your hobbies!

Washing machine motor is 2850 rpm... That's a great machine! I always use a safety helmet. The risk of the disk bursting is when you don't know how to work with the machine and the element you're Keep gets between the hull and the disk.

A stone costs 80 euros end a benchgrider inclusief a stone costs 100 euros but ill use your idea for a buffing cq polishing wheel 👍

you can buy a decent bench grinder for under $100. Seems like alot of work

Two big mistakes in this design. First, bad drilling in the beginning, which result in offset of the spinning disc. Second, no venting holes for the motor, can't cool properly for longer use. Other than that, relatively easy design with affordable materials.

Hello my friend, there is a vent for ventilation, if you look at the side ones are longer than the bottom and by screwing the sheet metal an opening is formed and successfully cool electric motor. In my videos, it's about showing the easiest way to make it.

@@HandmadeCreativeChannel fair enough. But you should use bolt rather than stud. It's harder and doesn't bent when rotating.

The concept is interesting but I didn't understand why you spend so much time assembling those shitty planks together to encase that machine that much.
Just set that motor onto a solid piece of actual wood and let it like that so you can have an easy access to the wheel to change it if needed.
I think this can be greatly simplified and enhanced. But the concept remains attractive, thanks for the video.
