You sir have a gift for motorcycle reviews. This is by far my favourite one. I just bought a low rider s and it’s in the shop getting a stage 2 done. I’ve been watching videos of LRS’s in the meantime due to excitement. This one made me so happy.
Congratulations on your LRS! You're gonna love it. Not only did H-D get the looks & sound right but the tune too. It's a superb running machine. Wahoo!
I never got those mirror warning stickers on mine. Bought 7/2023. I love the bike, Seems to always be raining here, I did get it up to 250 miles finally. Did a 6th gear a roll-on from 65mph to to 100mph...It took a very long time to get to 100mph. My YZFR1 would have gotten to 150mph in that time. Very different bikes, I love my FXLRS. Not for speed, just for torque. Funny, I had it a month and got a recall notice in the mail. Not worried about that much,...it's just a bolt.
The torque on the bike comes on very quickly. That was one of the very first things I noticed. At 5'6" I can flat foot it while the bars are a tiny bit of a reach. It has a nice sound. Not obnoxiously loud but noticeable. I was thinking I'd need a windshield but even at 70-80mph the cowling provides a decent amount of wind protection. It's not a touring bike but for a couple of hours it will probably provide enough wind deflection so the ride isn't exhausting.
@@forgottenmotorcycles I’m based out of Northern VA. Quantico HD, closed the deal at $21,500 OTD.. I had a deal from PA for $20,743 OTD but they are 3 hours from here and I don’t have a trailer.. both fully loaded with ABS and RDRS (traction control or w/e)
Have you rode the street bob? If so, would you choose the LRS over it? I’m currently debating between the two. Both have unique things I love and I can’t decide.
I have rode the Street Bob, loved it and think it's a hoot to ride. I'd pick the bike that tugs at your heart strings best and go with it. Both are great bikes. Wahoo!
I really don't have any way to test that. I will say that it feels a lot faster than the other Harleys. I don't think it's faster than most sports bikes. It is a lot of fun to ride though.
S = street Drag, according to a friend with a V&H modded one. I agree but my stage 1 Trumpet triple puts out over 150 hp on a 440 lb bike. Should be good sport running with the FXLRS. BUT anything that can get out of its own way is interesting. The quicker the better.
I did all that except for the forwards… as I have forwards on my Night Train and use that as my laid back cruiser. I wouldn’t be opposed to forwards on this bike but I have crash/highway bars that make up for it and it’s just so perfect with mids for hard riding. Plus I’m only 6’ so I’m good for leg room
Finally a bro that knows perfection upon seeing and especially riding. These new breed soft reviewers whine, complain and snivel about these killer bikes. They would shit their pants if they attempted riding a 1976 FLH dresser shovel all over the country. I would love to see these youngsters turn around on a 2 lane as you demonstrated. Oh, my 2022 FXLRS is a pleasure moving around with leg power ,in the garage, compared to my 1992 FLHTC. Good job.👋
These are shit hot whips mate. I miss my 1992 Dyna 80ci evo. I think I found its replacement. I was thinking of a Triumph Speed Twin 1200 but this trumps the triumph. I love the stunt bike vibe of them.
Unfortunately not anymore ... the discontinued Low Rider would be worth considering getting second hand. The styling is really nice (a bit more chrome, so aimed at the 'gentleman' moreso than the 'rebel'). It's a poor man's Sport Glide (no panniers, no fairing). One thing I love about the Lowrider is the wheel spoke styling.
That's a really interesting question. The Harley is a hard hitting straight line brute sporting that incredibly unique American V-twin cruiser styling, sounds & driving characteristics. Triumphs, especially the Thruxton, are all about handling & braking first, power second. I do love their style too, especially the Speed Twin. All these bikes have about the same horse power while the Triumphs have less torque and far less mass. Power/weight ratio would go to the Triumphs. The Low Rider has an incredible physical reaction to the throttle being twisted, a real show, experience. The Harley feels more powerful off the line but I'm guessing the Triumphs, each about 250 lbs lighter, are much faster. Wahoo! PS What have I done...
I have a built up dyna street bob (106hp and 122tq) and a z900. I very much underestimated the power of the z thinking it wouldn't be that much crazier than the dyna. I had no clue what fast was until I got an "actual fast bike "😳
@@joeplem5329 wow really? i have a road king and was thinking of getting z900rs as a 2nd light weight bike. i know it was traction control to prevent wheelies but wasnt sure the true difference.
@@forgottenmotorcycles What do you think happens when a Triumph triple liter bike with a Stage 1 exhaust & remap against a Stage 3 2018 Lowrider S with V&H goodies. I can see this happening soon. Friendly test & tune time.
Exactly my feelings with the crazy blacked out obsession HD has adopted. Having said that, they have never been known for the quality of their chrome. Peels on aluminium and rust spots only take days to appear in the wetter environments. The 117 fxlrs is something special to ride with heaps of power in any gear. Not to mention with forward controls super comfortable for a few hundred miles in a day. Loving mine.
Blacked out pretty much everything. My '23 LRS looks badass tho. Going to get polished valve covers off the Softail Standard and leave it at that. Love this beast.
Stock, this bike is super fun and impressive but yeah, after a month I did a V&H stage 1 with: Cage Fighter Intake, FP4 Tuner and a 2-1 Competition Pro exhaust which sounds incredible, super low and throaty that growls with every shift… gave it a NICE boost. I’m super happy with this bike and my current setup. Only thing I’d like to do still is mess with riser height but the stock risers are perfect for riding aggressive so it’s gonna be hit or miss with pros and cons any direction I go. Cheers
Funny, vedio, 2023 Zx14r Ninja, 208 hp 112 ft tourque, 6 gal, tank, 590 lbs, zx 14r 12 to 1 compression , has traction control, power adjustment , Way funner bike, cost 16 grand, , , i wouldn call it a hot, maybe a led sled, for guys that want to 80 mph, , then get the wobble, , lol insurance cheaper on the Ninja,😎
Ninja has 5 in ground, clearence 31 in seat, hmm, spins 12 thousand rpms, does 105 in 2nd, cruise at 186 all day long, take off rev limit, go 205 mph, get there in 13 secs, qt mile 9 sec, 160 mph, takeoff mufflers, firstxthing when get home, put 400 buck Voo Doo pipes on lol, way better sound than a harley, lol, gets some ear plugs,,
Just some smak, lol, i had,Ninja for 7 years , have a 018 Fatty 114 stage 2, 475 s &s cam, kit, Blow exhaust , 14 in meat hooks, monster suker intake, fun cruiser , put 250 dunlop on it, , basiclicly burns rubber in three gears,, Bar hopper, 🥃🥃 im 66,, needed slower bike ♿
Thank you for stating the metric units for your international viewers.. Very thoughtful of you.
Love good information :-)

One of the funner Harleys to ride, for sure. Love the sound & look too. Wahoo!

What an exceptional review, thank you for the entertainment. I picked one up this week!
Great motorcycle, congratulations! Where did you buy? Wahoo!

That’s great how much you enjoy this bike… I hope you get the chance to own one and make it your own! Cheers, Fuzzy. Waahoo!
You and me both!
From 1971 to 2023 the essential of the bike... Super bike!
I love this hotrod!
It's just phenomenal.
One beautiful bike!
My absolute favorite motorcycle! Maybe, just maybe...
It is a beautiful motorcycle. Find a ride too.
Great review Fuzzy!!! Fan for life!!!

The little hot rod that could!

If my 2010 Street bob cacks it, this what I'm buying. The package!
Nice!
All kinds of vedios on this bike. So how fast will it go from 0-60? Nobody iv found has posted that.
I really don't have any way to test that. I will say that it feels a lot faster than the other Harleys. I don't think it's faster than most sports bikes. It is a lot of fun to ride though.
Getting one next year, wonder what they’ll do with the 2024 model?
Beautiful motorcycle!
Nothing. Except make grey the base colour & upcharge the black. Still no LED indicators though.
Luckily I got a new 23 for a great price in black.

That is a beauty.
Harley always gets the looks and paint right :-)
Best video on this bike
Thanks!
All Harley’s have brembo brakes?! That’s amazing!
That's what the sales person told me. Will say that the Harley's I've rode do have good brakes. Wahoo!
Would you recommend this for a Beginner bike?
I would not. Very expensive and heavy bike. Beautiful bike.
Change the exhaust, get it rempamed to match the exhaust system, and put forward control's on it .... and it makes it 100 times better
All that sounds good to me. I love forward controls too.

Thanks! Love these amazing motorcycles. Especially the Low Riders. You're right, they do handle great...and that HD power. Wahoo!
I would really like a Harley but they’re so freakin expensive. Are they worth it?
That's a good question...I do own three Royal Enfield's. Wahoo!

do they make regular low riders? not an S? sorry for my english
Think it's S & ST only

I love me my quick built British triple but I could see an LRS as a cruiser. It IS a light Harley.
Wahoo
how does this compare to speed twin or thruxton in terms of speed / power ? does harley feel more powerful?

Fast
I'll go for the new Buell super cruiser ; HD is done
Would love that
Fugly as can be. LRS with cr483 cam and pipe is perfection.
I have a23 fatboy with a stage 2 will blow the low rider out of the water
Nice
The word fast and the name HD should never be put together like that. Lies.
