Khuthadzo Thovhakale you will need to have some sort of credit because if you don’t, banks see you as a high risk and will most likely not want to finance you.
Francois Jantjies oh- I have a video about that. I tried to buy a house signed the OTP didn’t know it was legally binding. Called the banks and they said they wouldn’t give me the loan called estate agent to get out of it and she was like nah let the bond originator apply on your behalf. She did and understated my expenses so one of the banks pushed out an approval. I rejected the banks offer as it was over 30 years and the estate agency basically said they had lost potential income with the house off the market so I settled out of court

I made contact with the banks myself. It’s so much easier with the online application feature

Yes you need credit history to show you can manage cretit
You can also try save up and buy cash or save for a huge deposit
Is it advisable to buy a house cash?
I think buying anything cash is advisable but I know there are people who may argue otherwise
