He grew up spoiled and met all sort of bad and poor people, and ran out of his parents' legacy. He lost everything and wondered why he had to live. He eventually met a hermit and asked what is life and why he have to live and suffer. The hermit promised to give an answer if Toshishun do not speak a word whatever he witness. Toshishun agreed and the hermit disappeared. After that Toshishun got hurt by bandits and killed by a poisonous snake and tortured by demons in hell. Toshihsun endured the pain and didn't say a word, however, he found his parents tortured by demons and he finally cried for a mercy. Toshishun woke up from the nightmare and saw the hermit standing. Toshishun swore to the hermit that he live a straight life. The hermit gave Toshihun a shack and farm and disappeared forever. I suppose that the epic ending of the song represents a man who realize what a life is and the reason why human beings have to suffer to live, which is the goal of Buddhism.

There are many Bodhisattva and it means a person who is able to reach nirvana but delays doing so out of compassion in order to save suffering beings, while Asura are demigods that personifies many negative emotions such as violence, pride, hatred, greed. Therefore, I can conclude that you think you are benevolent in mind, but your action contradicts or speaks otherwise. Thus, most or all sufferings come from the mind.

I share your appreciation for Ningen Isu and thank you for your reaction. I would like to draw your attention to another Japanese band called Gacharic Spin (all-female) and their "Instrumental 2018". Compared to Ningen Isu the piece is more or less at the other side of the rock/metal universe, pretty funky and feel good rock. Don't be irritated by their weird outfits (the keyboarder is dressed a cheese burger !?) and (hopefully) just enjoy a great piece of music.
