They should make a mod where it makes 1 factions’ voip (in person & on radio) sound unintelligible unless you’re some type of “interpreter” unit or something. Then you would rely on interpreters to translate. Seems like itd make ops pretty fun
Callsigns are only as good as the security of the callsigns. This is why SOI, signal operating instructions, are important. SOI includes COMSEC or network compromise, challenge and passwords, callsigns, and more. But even in the real military, no one cares about learning how to use it until its too late.

You can infiltrate enemy owned territories using enemy clothes and radio, just find some loner enemy and kill him, take all clothes, radio and gun, equip everything, and now you are spy, you can get recognized as enemy only by nametag not appearing at small distance, so new players will have no idea that you are enemy, i had once infiltrated quite new player defence fob and my team started attacking them, ofc everyone there was like 2 mg spots witch they started returning back fire to my team, so i equip pistol and killed like 5 of them letting my team push close to the fob, but ofc i got killed by my team since at longer distance they cant see my nametag, and even if they would prob they would not know about infiltration, so its best to do is get your own squad get on certain radio frequency, send one of them to infiltrate, and attack city etc with infiltrator being your defence breaker, its actually great fun when you plan everything and it works, but ofc sometimes it doesn't work lol
here the things in the game nobody change the radio frequency so if you do manage to steal an enemy radio you will hear they come but if they change the frequency you might have to SEARCH all the frenquency available
Yes you can wear enemy uniforms. Had a group of guys steal our radio and tell us they stole our guys uniforms and to get ready for an inside attack. And it happened badly lmao

I had a weird conversation a while back where someone had told me that physicalized radios had no place in video games, because it was so easy to simply add somone to a discord/skype call and then have no issues whatsoever.... I miss when people played games for fun.

I love this feature! On Saturday night I was defending black lake during the night with my buddy when 3 enemy trucks came flying down the hill towards us. We waited until we were pointing our AKs in their doors and opened up, it was total chaos once they realized they rolled into an ambush. You could hear their moral fall apart as we silenced voices one by one in the darkness. Eventually there was 2 left and we spent our time shouting obscenities at each other while one of us circled around lit them up!

Hows he going to communicate with his team when he has an enemy radio tuned into their frequency and needs to hear what the enemy is doing? He said over local comms that they could set an ambush but it was just poor luck that 5 team mates where going to retake that objective at that moment.
reminds me of wolfenstein enemy territory i'd wear enemy uniforms and pick up enemy guns and blend in and literally pick off the whole enemy team without being spotted. or sometimes rush objectives. i think it was also the first online shooter to have a mechanic like that. so this tickles my nostalgia
I havent bought it yet, whats the performance like, I know I got a decent rig and I still cant get more than 40fps on most servers in arma 3. Wondering if new engine is aweome or not

How is it possible that you're playing without getting DC'd? I get DC'd after like 5/10 minutes of playing.. Ping is fine like 20ms, does anyone know how to fix that?
Mechanics changed a lil since this video I think. Spent the last two hours with a Russian radio, dressed as a Russian, but I couldn't use their radio. I could listen in though. We did a few ambushes and stole their BTR. Arma 4 can't come soon enough.

Waaaaayy beter than arma 3, reforger uses the enfusion engine which allows multple cores of the cpu to be used

We know but certain guns dont range lower than 300 meters
