Maybe i am paranoid but imagine bots applying to jobs or modeling agencies. Then you realize its not a true human. Imagine tinder or bumble with bots to attract users. You chase imaginary humans.
Even if you technically agreed, this feature is still extremely flawed, because the moment you upload or if you had uploaded pictures including other people who have not agreed to be used in their AI model, they still are in your account. So for example, if you had posted a photo with a friend, and use the AI tool later, that photo with your friend gets into their training data and in their recognition, it doesn't matter who the friend is. This is an issue, you may sell your likeness unknowingly, but you have no right to sell someone else's, these services are taking advantage of the ignorance of their users (not calling them dumb or ignorant in general, these companies don't want their users to actually know what they have agreed to!) to then also get advantage of other people who have not agreed to these terms.

The soul of Gengis Khan ready to activate in every Internet provider
I'm so glad I immediately deleted all my Meta accounts the moment I heard the news about the new changes in moderation and AI bots and stuff
This feels like an episode of Black Mirror
Glad I took down all of my Insta stuff before this AI stuff caught on
Glad mine got banned.
Glad I’ve never posted pictures of myself, only reason I have one is because I had to for college
Yeah I have no Face/Insta/Snap activity for nearly 10 years now and just keep winning
I've never been happier for not downloading Instagram.
This was literally a thing in the dystopian movie Minority Report. It’s a good movie btw
This is exactly why we should start making our own Internet tbh
Internet is dead and they killed it
The worst part; is that it’s normalised & suspiciously niche sounding, as though it’s not a big deal and nothing has changed… even though everything has! It’s not just niche astroturfers and liars talking about it! Yet it feels like that because of how… under-announced it is?
It's probably intentionally under-announced to cultivate that exact feeling. Normalization is the goal after all.
looks like we're doing the webcam thing for phones
Maybe i am paranoid but imagine bots applying to jobs or modeling agencies. Then you realize its not a true human. Imagine tinder or bumble with bots to attract users. You chase imaginary humans.
I got an ad for an ai generator on this video
If i ever saw myself in an ad and it was ai generated, I’d probably start throwing up
Even if you technically agreed, this feature is still extremely flawed, because the moment you upload or if you had uploaded pictures including other people who have not agreed to be used in their AI model, they still are in your account. So for example, if you had posted a photo with a friend, and use the AI tool later, that photo with your friend gets into their training data and in their recognition, it doesn't matter who the friend is. This is an issue, you may sell your likeness unknowingly, but you have no right to sell someone else's, these services are taking advantage of the ignorance of their users (not calling them dumb or ignorant in general, these companies don't want their users to actually know what they have agreed to!) to then also get advantage of other people who have not agreed to these terms.
if they use all images you post i wonder how it works for impersonators
interesting question. I need someone to do a social experiment about this.
6 months until Black Ops 2 becomes real
Black Ops 2 ads irl in 2025
Bro I got an ai ad before watching this video
God if I ever see this I will immediately delete the app. That’s so horrifying tbh and it would make me queasy. I don’t know why
I might delete the app so i dont risk seeing this
I've been reading 1984 recently and the amount of parrels to are society is terrfying
Jokes on them I have prosopagnosia, I don’t even remember what I look like.
Another reason I refuse to swap to instagram when tiktok gets banned
Me, read the thumbnail
"what the fuck 😰"
since the government wont stop this we must
bro i'm so glad i don't use meta or ig and i hope that no other platforms start doing ts because i'm already paranoid as is when it comes to everythibg 💔💔
Not so much dystopian so much as just late stage capitalism people can't ignore anymore. Companies have been doing this for about.... 4 years now? Just haven't let anyone know lol
doesn't that break some kind of copyright? isn't one's likeness protected under law?
I really dont understand what is the point of this. Some of these sound illegal. I smell a lawsuit coming. This is coperate gas lighting.
Im terrified
I am NEVER downloading Instagram now what the absolute shit 😭
Ok...i was keeping Instagram as a last tether for people I knew to contact me, but I'm out.
0:42 what kinda feeds are you on???????????
What is a platform without AI? I'll go there.
Bluesky. Old Twitter but far less toxic, all-encompassing blocks, no AI features, and almost no AI art (and what little there is can be categorically blocked)
Your wrong I saw AI slop on Blue sky but a place without AI? Go back to blogs and forums
Welp. I guess the "Information War" has truly started.
I guess all we can do is spread misinformation in a way that can bring awareness to our concerns

I hate that we're actually beginning to live in an AI dystopia 🤦♀️
