My 2020 "Factory Edition" KX125 TWO STROKE is DONE!!! This KX125 will always be a work in progress adding new parts to this build that has been the first two stroke build that started each build series. In this video I got over every part for the build in detail on what it would cost someone roughly if they wanted to build a similar bike. The rough number that I came up with was $15,000 to build something like the 2020 KX125 or KX250. This has many different factors on what it would cost depending on what parts you put on the bike, how much you buy the dirt bike for and the overall condition of the bike to start with. I unfortunately started with a bike that needed everything replaced but can be avoided if you spend more on the bike itself from the start.

David Lear where are these numbers from? If you are doing it yourself the price of springs front and rear are roughly $300. If you are getting them done labor shouldn’t be $700 just for a respring alone.

It is to keep from rubbing the powder coat off, not meant to look pretty.

125 kids bike isn’t a thing. It’s a full blown race bike. I doubt he could sell it for 15k because no one is gonna spend that on a 125 but that’s what it is worth

Dude. You can buy a 2020 kx250f for like $6k. You paid $1500 for that bike. You could of just engine swapped a 2020 and had a way better bike than a STEEL frame kx125 added some of the extras and been in it for way less. Smh. You blew SO much money on pointless stuff. You could of made so much money back selling a brand new 2020 kx250f swap. Engines go up to $4k in prices. All that money and work and its still just a 125 🤦♂️ would of made way more sense to engine swap a 2020 kx250f with a late model kx250 2 stroke engine.

Hey tyler i really love the build and ive got deadset to many on my hands at moment but buddy how and whats the go with the plastic kit from the new model kxf where and how did u get this all to work on the old kx125 frame just really like to do something like this with my kx250 and eventually ill do it all to every bike im wanting to do my old ktm300exc i brought acouple of months back but im gunna make this old weapon look just like a 2019 2020 model bike im gunna buy a new model tank then just a cheap secondhand plastic kit just to get it all dialed in on the bike well the bolt hole will obviously moved or have to make alloy brackets but yeah i cant wait to do that just to see who else out there in the world has done an old school 2banger and turned it into a 2019/2020 bike!! There is no 2020 kx125. It stopped being produced in 2008. And for a 2020 kx it would be all green plastics not with white.

Throw a 5000$ set of forks on it. Now you got a 10000 dollar kx125 now add the 3000$ rear shock warp 9 wheels and hubs 1000$ what’s left.
All though it come out to be $15k. But all comes down to how much you made out of it. Saying that, it also has got his name out there and got brands to help sponsor the build but also promote his channel. This bike was all over Instagram for ages. Therefore promoting himself and other brands
