I'm not sure if a recent update made this outdated because it's not working for me. I've built it 3 times now, no luck. I've been trying to learn more about piston engines, I find them interesting.

I recommend putting a screw it the tips of the shaft to smooth the rotation of the engine

Does this not work in survival mode? It's possible I messed something up but not only does the engine freak out whenever I take it off the lift but the pistons constantly lock up if it doesn't just explode, despite my reinforcing the frame. My recreation of it worked fine in creative but for some reason my survival version just refuses to work. (Should also mention my pistons are unupgraded, is the upgraded speed required?)

it works in survival tho, the function of the physics in creative and survival are different.This piston engine is quite terrible and i am gonna make a new tutorial soon

help! on every single piston engine i have attempted to make, when i turn the engine on, the pistons just push the gates up. is there any way to correct this to actually get the crank shaft moving?
