Yooo, it's so great to finally see this be animated! Admittedly hopped on the team to help a bit late, but I'm glad I was able to help make this animatic happen!
Had some of the sets growing up. I'll never forget how much fun this era of Lego was. Thank you for recreating those cherished times with some long lost friends and the fight against the Makuta!
Finally! Lets gooo Edit: Top notch voice acting and sound effects, smooth animation, great style of drawing characters. Those were two minutes of pure pleasure to me, please keep it up!
This looks amazing. The story is simple but the animation is fluid and I love the more blocky shapes you gave the matoran!! It makes them seem a lot more robotic than they would look like otherwise.
One of our goals with this show is to showcase how capable the matoran are of fighting off threats. They didn't survive for 1000 years on Mata Nui whilst being weak.
Aww man! Had I known something like this was being made at the time, I would have LOVED to help work on it myself! Looks good. And the voice acting and animation are certainly impressive in thier own right. On this and the Tahu animatic. Just a quick note though. I thought Nui Rama were normally found in Le-Wahi. And dont they usually come in swarms? That's how I remember it from the online game, anyway. Am I wrong?
@0RtistiC Thanks for the support! If you would like to help the team, we are still taking artists and animators to work on the project. With regards to your last question, you are, in fact, correct. Nui Rama are normally found in swarms in Le-Wahi. I wonder what could drive a rahi to act so far out of its natural instincts? As season 1 airs, you'll discover more about the Rahi and their plight.
@BionicleIliad I had just been under the impression that you had based these animatics on already established events in the Bionicle story, as I know the trapping of Tahu by Jallar in your first video was considered canon in the online game, as well as the books. So I had wondered if I had missed something as far as this one with Kopaka goes, or if it was a little more your own inspiration.
@0RtistiC Ah, gotcha. For all of our show, we will use the original story as our baseline, but adapt it in a more serilized format. In this case, Animatic #2 is an adaptation of one of the events in the Bionicle Comics Issue #1.
@BionicleIliad Aha. Makes sense then. I never was able to access the comics as much as I wanted to back then. And without the accompanying visual reference, my early-teen brain at the time probably wouldn't have been able to remember the nui rama incident if it had been mentioned in the book, as well as other events depicted. Anyway, I suppose it could be argued that this particular Nui Rama just got separated from the rest of its swarm during a Le-Korro attack and got disoriented enough that it mistook the mountain as its nest, therefore wandering into Ko-Wahi where it runs into Matoro and Kopaka. I do believe those two regions are next to each other on the map.
Dunno how I feel about kopaka straight-up killing that rahi, it doesn't even appear to have infected masks on it, seemingly organic bug eyes. Seems unnecessarily cruel and out of character.
If you look closely around 1:22, the animators opted for normal eyes and put a grey mask on top of the nui-rama's head. That's the bit that Kopaka stabs. I had the same reaction as you at first though.

I love the voice for Matoro
Something something....Ignition Trilogy....something something-
Amazing work! Even though it’s just an animatic you can really feel all the movement

I've been waiting. This is gonna be AWESOME!!!

This Benjamin Prendergast has the perfect Kopaka voice.
👍🏻
The frame by frame got my motion sickness to act up, but hit the mark on the whole style and feel of the kopaka nicely. Good show.
Kopaka is BADASS!!!! this is why i like him so much!!!

Awesome work! This makes me nostalgic for the first Bionicle comic where Kopaka encountered a Nui-Rama.
It's so cool to see 2d bionicle animation!
matoro.....give me heartwarming and heartache at the same time.....we'll never forgot about your noble sacrifice....
I love you kopaka!!!!💙🤍
1:33 it was the western riff that did it for me
You've no idea how hard I was laughing playing that in.
@@inimata_irl I couldn't stop laughing after hearing it. Best thing ever.
really love how tye matoran look in this animation
not tiny and useless looki h like the tohunga from the original mcdonalds toys

Great animatic . I really enjoyed the part where kopaka made some adjustments to the bridge before crossing it
Kopaka the kind of toa to tell a massive flying rahi "no." and send it hurtling down a crack in a mountain.
Fantastic work, I love that guitar play after he was done fighting.
Kopaka is our western loner. He thusly gets all the cool riffs. 😎
So excited!
This was great!! I've been looking forward to this for a *long* time and it did not disappoint. Love to see more from you guys.
Pretty cool (no pun intended). Can't wait to see the Kane-Ra battle later on....assuming its included yeah?
Oooh this was really good! Voice acting was spot on!
Outstanding animatic and just the type of voice one would expect from the toa of ice.
Amazing animation! The voices were great too.
Looking forward to it!
Yay! Another amazing one! :D
Really good, detailed drawings for the animation which is made of so many different frames
He really is bionicle batman
Kopaka's still my fave💙
Yay! Another one!!! I hope we get to see the other Toa in action soon!!!
Unfortunately not in Animatic form, but we hope that you'll be able to see them all very soon.

Where's 3?
@@BartholomewHenryAllen No Animatic #3, but check our most recent video for when our next big thing will drop
