Learning the Elektron Octatrack- MIDI Setup with Access Virus TI2

Here I setup MIDI channels with Elektron Octatrack and Access Virus TI2 and test adding trigs to sequence each part of the Access Virus TI2.

Thanks so much for this video. I just got a Squarp Hapax and I plan on running various patches through it with my Ti2. I took me over 5 hours, on the Waldorf Kyra to learn how to run multiple synthesizers on it. It got to the point that I thought something was broken. Why don't they write manuals, especially with MIDI controls a lot easier to understand and more comprehensive. You probably just saved me another 5-12 hours of pure agony.

Thanks for the video. For me sequencer mode works well with the virus ti. Regarding 00:07:45 when in "seq mode" and enabling program change in the "multi edit" on the virus you can use the bank and prog values of the octatracks midi tracks to change patches per part on the virus on each midi channel. Don't forget to hit "yes" on the octatrack after dialing in the bank and prog number for the virus to receive that info. Usefull for saving that with the octatracks parts so when recalling them the virus plays the right patches. Don't really know about multimode, but just trying it briefly it seemed to change the whole multi patch (which could be desired).

good points and now I am using my new Squarp Hapax sequencer on the Virus that works better as a dedicated sequencer with my Virus and other synths in the studio.

great video! Do these settings also apply for the AR MK2? I want to trigger my Virus TI2 via AR`s powerful sequencer if it's possible. Thanks in advance!

they would use similar settings for MIDI on the AR but I have not tested it yet.
